Ingenious Players BREAK Scourge With Negative Ailments [FIXED]

They nerfed a Cold Conduit Passive from a Medium Cluster Jewel which gave you like 300-500 MS with fulcrum plus winterweave. This is everything. Yeah this weekend.

Like Shag said this game long needed caps otherwise it's whack-A-mole Not to mention can never balance it

I wonder how far they can go with the concept that good stuff can come from imperfections or faults. They said that in an interview some years ago.

It's kind of cool but obviously broken. But what does it break, is there still stuff to break in poe? I mean balance-wise.

Suppose -200% effectiveness is the cap? Vinktar's would reduce all damage taken by 50%? One could splash that in any build I guess?

Does flask effectiveness affect Vinktar's self shock? I know 50 is the shock cap, but the entire effect might get scaled? PoB doesn't account for that effect I cannot check that way..

I think it will get the same treatment as the Manaless aurastacker. My money is on Tuesday patch.

Not if they nerf the effect itself (by capping ailment effect at 0% say). ;)

Tbh..... the item that enables this is so rare, so unused and the fact you lose all feasible ailment additions to damage to ENEMIES by doing it....I'm pretty sure this build should be kept viable because of the real sacrifices being made.

Keep in mind that even if you were to overcap Chill, Overcap Shock, etc Reduced Effect, that means they can never be used vs an Enemy.

Doing such makes Hypothermia, Shock stacking or even burn builds completely useless to enemies.

Lightning scaling is so small without shock, that GGG incorporated a bunch of lightning masteries specifically designed to make chaining, Lucky hits, etc more effective.

Even if you purely build this as raw damage, the damage is going to be heavily gimped just by never applying an effective Shock to an enemy.

To me it seems very similar in niche to the fact we have -200% lightning resist Doryani's builds (which would not compliment this Fulcrum, because it would eliminate 2/3 of the damage).

The whole point of these types of Scourge mods was to find ways to work around them.

Literally the only build Fulcrum doesn't severely nerf is Lightning DoT, since it's not a hit, or channeling skills.

I'm sorry, are you advocating for IMMUNITY to damage in PoE, because you don't do 'as much damage to the enemy'?
