Game instantly closing on start up on steam

i followed the steps to change the renderer type and my is showing as DX11, but i know i was using vulkan.
i am on the steam version and still cannot open game. |

Just wanted to jump in and say I was also having this issue until I switched to DX11. I would also like to use Vulkan if at all possible. There were no significant changes to my system that would have brought this about, as far as I can tell. (I'm looking at you windows update.) But what makes it especially weird is that just the other day it was working fine.

same issue, received a 100mb ish patch yesterday then this happened.

just right now I was able to access the game again by switching to Vulkan, Im not sure what was the problem or what became the problem with DX especially after that small patch, but in anyway, the game is more laggy to me on Vulkan.

vulkan render works again on steam,i just swich with NO crash....THANK YOU LORD----no more direct x 11-----

i have tried both Vulkan and DX 11 in the config file and instant crash either way.
not sure what is going on, but it seems like my thanksgiving break will not include PoE. it has been 5 days since i was able to play PoE. i am open to any suggestions. |
