High Latency on random time, but especially in maps [WinMTR Included]

WinMTR
Spoiler
Lagged at the beginning of the map, until end: https://pastebin.com/b45T6QKK
1 Cycle of me lagging out: https://pastebin.com/G6PPyTcu
Normal Playthrough: https://pastebin.com/2FHcuwAF

So my problem is that I often have a random latency spike while in maps, h/o, etc. Especially in maps so I can't play this game without raging like a quin.
I actually had a similar problem with my old computer, which had i5/940mx, and thought it was a problem with GPU, so I spent more than 1k to upgrade, and the problem still exists... So I post this.

My current setup is
i7-11370H / RTX 3070 8GB with 24GB RAM

Oh, and why I said cycle is because this spike follows something
1. My normal ping is 14ms.
2. At any random time the lag starts at 100~200ms for about a minute.
3. After that my ping goes down to 14ms.
4. After that my ping goes crazy to 300~400ms for about a minute or two.
5. Lag Spikes, about 1000~3000ms at the top.
6. Game Crashes, OR goes back to normal ping.

Step 3 and 4 can repeat 2~3 times, but only after step 5 it goes back to normal for around 3 minutes.

How can I fix this? Are there any other people who have same problems?

@OP: That first trace is too short. Need to run it for longer; 300-500 MINIMUM.

2nd trace: Packet loss starts at your 8th hop that carries forward = bad. I *think* that is still part of your ISP's network. Sort of hard to tell. I would contact them and make sure to show them your trace. Tell them that you are getting PL and it's affecting your ability to do what you want to online. If it isn't part of their network, ask them to forward it up the chain to their provider.

I would also send that trace to GGG as well (Support@grindinggear.com). That is a large amount on hops that your traffic is going through. See if something can be done as far as routing goes. They may or may not be able to tweak some things via their provider.

Last trace looks good.

Edit: KZPE, the next time you get a laggy instance and you feel up to it, post a longer trace to that instances IP addy. I am interested in seeing another one.

For @Arogorn14, Thank you for your kindness, as you wish I got longer WinMTR this time.
Win MTR
Spoiler

1. https://pastebin.com/9vHmwZeF (No Cycle, just a 1000ms ping)
2. https://pastebin.com/BwuH3x6J (1 Cycle, 1000ms at maximum)

And btw I'm majoring in programmer too, and if you don't mind, can you explain what's going on?
This is my think of the WinMTR I included.
Spoiler

1. 1.208.113.153 = https://en.ntunhs.net/IPInfo/EN/1/208.htm, which is LG Dacom. As I use LG internet I guess it is ISP's problem
2. po2.fcr01b.seo01.networklayer.com = this is poe's network layer, located in Seoul.
3. ae5.cbs01.kx01.seo02.networklayer.com = I guess it is... in seoul...? wtf?
So bottom two is transferring first one's physical input into network layer so if 1 has a problem, which is ISP's problem, bottom ones just get failed? am I right?

Edit: bottom part is just if you don't mind, u don't have to talk about it

Edit2: I called my ISP, they say nothing is going on at all... maybe traffic issue?

@KZPE

First spoiler 1st trace: Ok, we are sorta getting somewhere. Wired or wireless? If you're wireless, can you go wired? There is something amiss here. You are seeing half second plus ping spikes right at your router, and they stay present throughout the trace, which isn't good. You should never see that happen, period. Granted, it really isn't affecting your averages, so that's good, but the way that POE is coded, it's more than likely seeing them and it's being translated in game.

Until I know whether you are wired or wireless, I don't want to say this is on your ISP again.

What gateway are you connecting to? Japan? Wait, what? Sao Paolo?

You ISP is in Korea as well as you, yes? I just want to make sure I get a little geographics down here so I know exactly what I am looking at. :)

Unfortunately, I don't know if one is backing up another. I just don't know enough about their infrastructure to comment. It could be - most major cities will have quite a few nodes dedicated to them as traffic in and around them can get quite intense; totally irrespective of gaming.

If I missed a question of yours, sorry. Woke up a tad late for work and have to rush around this morning and I haven't had nearly enough caffeine yet, heh.

Sorry for the late reply, my ISP is in Korea as well as me, and I don't use VPNs so my ISP's technical support also was curious about it going to... Sao Paolo... what? And yes I connect to Korea. Maybe it is bc GGG actually don't support Korean server without having Korean account?
I use wired, CAT 6, on wifi router. Modem - House - wifi router / my computer. Is that clear for you?

BTW u r giving me a lot of help. Thank you for taking your time to me.

No problem :) I enjoy the problem solving as much as I do helping folks out when I can.

Do me a favor. Run a few traces for me. They do NOT have to be long traces, 20 seconds each should suffice. I want to check into which gateway you are connecting to. Sometimes, when GGG's servers are full for a region, they will shift traffic to the next best one. If you're in Korea, GGG *should* try and shift you to like Japan or something. Why in the hell you got shifted to Sao Paolo in that one trace eludes me. If indeed it did go to there...that could have been a hiccup in the lookup I used, but that is what they said where that last hop was so... <shrug>

Also, before we both forget:

Wired or wireless? If your wireless, can you go wired?

Anyway, pastebin

Now I'm rly not sure what is goin on lol

I'll look at these a bit later in the day mate. Have to run off to work now, but thanks in advance for those traces. Will definitely take a look see for ya.

Edit: OK, I lied a bit...just took a gander at your first trace and it supposedly says that you were connecting to North Carolina in the US....NC doesn't have a sever??...ok what the absolute feck is going on....

Edit #2: Lagwin or Han, if you guys see this post/thread - mind taking a look see as well if you have the time. Wanna make sure I am not missing something.

Ok, first things first. Going to list the endpoint node that's listed in your traces, since that's an issue.

1: North Carolina - WTF?! There is no server in NC...
2: Dallas, Texas
3: Sao Paolo
4: Dallas
5: Dallas
6: Dallas
7: Dallas
8: Dallas
9: Dallas
2p/s: Dallas

Ok, so you are connecting, or trying to connect, to the Korean server. I can understand that it's throwing you to a different server. That's is part of what GGG's system does. If a server is full etc, it will shunt you to the next best one. What I *don't* understand, is why in the hell there are no additional hops in your traces defining that specific fact. There *should* be. It goes straight from Seoul to the US - or wherever. Maybe it's supposed to directly connect to that instance server like that, but it didn't always. I r teh confused.

Going to drop you a PM with some information on something to try.

Ok, as far as those 2 instances that gave you your issues. LG DACOM is your ISP if I remember correctly, yes?

Trace #5: 10th hop for sure, 8th hop is likely since this was a REALLY short trace. Packet loss is creeping in again. 20% ish or so, which is horrid.

Trace #2p/s: Again, packet loss within LG DACOM's network, much more severe this time around. 40%+ just eesh...

I would get in touch with LG DACOM again and show them both of those traces. Again, tell them that that packet loss is affecting your ability to do what you want to online. The same node is not causing your issues, so asking them to try and shunt your traffic around a specific node is kinda not feasible here. See if anything can be done about it as it's really mucking things up for you. That amount of PL is just horrendous. You shouldn't have any at all.

Also, in one of your other traces, you had some pretty bad latency (800+)right at your router/modem. 2 things. I would also send that trace to your ISP, something is seriously wrong if you get that right in your home. Also, if you have a spare cat5/6 cable lying around, try swapping out the cable. Sometimes cables can get bent/kinked/whatever and just not function correctly.

If you want to run a few longer traces to specific laggy instances to gather more data for your ISP, that wouldn't hurt. If you want me to check them over before you send them off, I can do that for you as well.

I already showed then to my ISP and they 'confirmed' that there is no issues between it, still I dont believe them bc they didnt understand what I was trying to say...
And also they changed my CAT6 line with new one so I think it doesnt matter.
Anyway I sent GGG my thread and ur words and asked to Fitzy, gonna wait until they reply. Anyway, thanks for the help
