Did you buy your loot, or farm it?

With around 700 hours the best loot I found was an awakened gem. What did you find? Most of the gear I got was off a website and not in the game.

O yea I bought it, I've always bought it, just like the game wants you to.
Every character I try to farm it but you eventually get to where the game heavily punishes you for the content you're playing and still won't drop gear to help you progress. |

I bought most of the cheaper ones (5-link). That was enough for a farm for T16 maps engama bosses (like Catarina). Focus on some other league, expedition, delve etc ...
You can buy most things unless you can craft items. Expedition is very efficient. You can roll very expensive items if you're lucky, or create very strong items. For example, I created some 10 ex items in less than 20 minutes. |

You know that question is double-sided, right?
But I'll answer it as if you meant the honorable way. No, I didn't make a single piece of gear by myself that was end-game or bis for any of the builds I played. I traded. |

I have not played trade since Breach and found at least one of everything. I can build anything in SSF STD. It's harder to do in league. You basically have to no life 40 hrs a week the game to do that.

Surprisingly, I've found the vast majority of my current gear.
I only bought my helm after about 20 failed Horror essence crafts. Bought belt because fuck grinding Heist lol https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/988f3369-4b68-4eb9-bc0e-edfce4c3c950

If you found or crafted loot to use that's awesome! I believe that's part of the fun of the whole idea behind this genre. Myself I was super unlucky or something. I had to farm currency and then complete trades using the website to get better gear. It was more technical but when you have to do that for every piece of gear it get's to be not very fun in my own opinion. I guess it depends if you like to spend a lot of time trading or not. You have to look for the gear, then send messages and meet opposed to finding it in the world I guess it isn't a huge deal unless loot gets nerfed so bad it makes players want to buy it with money. Then it turns into pay to win right?
