Exp needed for "Master the Blood Crucible" is too high
Did a bit more testing with this. Crucible XP gains definitely scale with zone level up to level 67. In Blood Aqueducts (level 61) I was getting just over 40 xp per stack (though since building stacks is very safe, fast, and "free", this seems like a decent place to farm...). In desecrated chambers (level 65 I think?) it was around 45 xp per stack, and in feeding trough (level 67) it was the full 50 xp, similar to all map+ content.
It definitely scales with mob level, but seems to stop at 67+ for some reason, making all content past late act 10 identical in terms of xp/stack. Running higher level content provides no crucible xp benefit, but continues to scale up in difficulty, making it functionally less rewarding and far more lethal. The only reason to ever run scourge in anything other than blood aqueducts, as far as I can tell, is to do other end-game-related activities at the same time. The scourge mechanic itself doesn't benefit from the significant increase in difficulty, but at least you can farm conquerors/sirus, top end maps, etc. in parallel. This seems very counter-intuitive to me. |

" Yes, I also tested it earlier, I even created a new character and checked the gains from act 1. They are nicely scaling up to the flat 50 for all map tiers later on, just as You also said. Which is a huge design failure in my book, again, but here we go, 5th week, will stay as is. At least I finally have a build capable of doing full stacks on T14-T16s, will push it there towards. Tried a zoomer for white maps, but was boring with no challenge at all, dropped on level 72. All-time non-streamer luckless dropless rewardless tons-of-time-playing non-TFT-er 100% solo player.
So, it just turns out, we were lied to for years with the promises of a two-storied one PoE 4.0. All these worse and worse beta leagues, all these braindead changes, all lead to this. |

Yeah, really feeling pain of this right now. This is the true end game grind.

I just finished it as well as the 40th; it was indeed the true end game grind this time.
With a slight map tier based xp gain scaling, it could have been in line with past map grinds. Despite the tons of maps for rituals and abysses, even the EGG could not cover it for me (62.17%). All-time non-streamer luckless dropless rewardless tons-of-time-playing non-TFT-er 100% solo player.

" I still mock those... and this the grind got way too severe on challenges i preferred a bunch of difficult shit that you could bang out when you felt ready and one objective for the endurance players to show how much endurance they've got. It wasn't easy to stop doing them but i'm kinda used to it now. |

This is just ridiculous. Who's got time to grind like 3000(x2 cuz scourge) maps...

This is probably the worst design in recent GGG history. Its as bad as this seasons meta being t3 tower...
There is no way ggg tested this, capping xp at 67 doesnt correlate with their end game/reward designs. Whats next HH dropping of Merviel in a1?? |
