Some mods that are only "during flask effect" can be augmented on to Seething mana flask
Description:
I had a "Seething Eternal Mana Flask" (Instant Recovery). I used an orb of augmentation on it. It became a "Seething Eternal Mana Flask of the Mage". However, "of the Mage" provides "19% reduced mana cost during flask effect", and no instantaneous effect. This does not work with an instant flask. Expected outcome: Augmentation orb on Seething flask should provide a mod that does not require a non-instant duration. Actual outcome: Augmentation orb on Seething flask provided a mod that required a non-instant duration (and had no effect with an instantaneous duration) Edit: to clarify this is for flask mods with ONLY during flask effect components. Edit to update: It looks like the only affected mods in the new mod pool might be: "of the Pupil", "of the Initiate", "of the Mage", "of the Arcanist", and "of the Sorcerer". This did not used to be the case with the previous flask mods. It may now be intended with the new flask mods, or it might be an oversight, I'll wait for GGG to confirm.

" it was always possible with old flask mods, you just notice it more now that there are a ton more flask mods. |

Note, they were able to have mods that had both a "during flask effect" component along with an instant effect, such as the older "of staunching", etc.
But, they were not able to have mods that had only a "during flask effect" component, such as "of adrenaline". The wiki also confirms this. (Check standard stash, you'll never find a "Seething divine life flask of adrenaline", or anything similar in a remove-only tab). Edit: I've updated the original post to clarify this point. It's on the Flask page of both the old and new wiki. Though, I'd suggest not changing it on the wiki, until we get a confirmation from GGG that this change in flask mod behavior is intentional.
If you still have doubts, that this is a change, I suggestion doing a trade search on standard league. Here's an example. https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Standard/yd530bghR There are no seething life or mana flasks with attack or movement speed in public tabs in standard. However there are countless non-seething flasks available with those mods: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Standard/rLKYavguQ https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Standard/pb3l0BZu0. Incidentally, I think the new suffix mods affected by this are pretty limited. It might be only the mana cost ones, on mana flasks, as far as i can tell, though there may be more. |

neohongkong, I appreciate the concern you're putting towards the quality of the game. I suggest taking a look at the poe trade links I posted, as you'll see that the previous behavior of seething flasks was to not allow "during flask effect" mods only.
I'll repost them here for your convenience: " Anyways, you can find both wikis "Flask" pages here: https://www.google.com/search?q=%22path+of+exile%22+flask+wiki (poewiki.net is the new community wiki, fandom.com is the old one) Once on the pages, you can find the information by using "ctrl-f" on windows/linux or "cmd-f" on mac, and typing "seething", you may have to go past the first result. I hope this helps! |
