My impression considering the general changes:
They adjusted the defenses so that the numbers are bigger (I'm at 3600hp in act 9 with 70% Evasion - easy, no gear optimization) The mobs are already balanced around that. Player dps remains largely the same. By taking away dodge they just removed one layer of defense without (in effect) providing a substitute. |

I've updated my original thread to better reflect my 'first impressions' in regards to mapping. I appreciate everyone who has chimed in thus far, I've read every comment!

This league has the potential to be one of the best,just give them some time boys.(delirium was shit on release too but now its one of the best "risk vs reward" league mech.)

Another thing:
The implementation of Expedition in the core game is rather lackluster: the drop rates, spawn order/rate (Gwennen>>rest) and prices remained the same but you encounter them 1/10 of the time as before. Makes for some rather rare & expensive shite to be gambled or crafted ... |

" Even though I fully agree with your general view of the league - 3.3k Hp at 87 and T7 maps? Make it about 6k hp (min) and you might not get one-shot on every pressing of 'V'. What are your levels of spell suppression? |

" Hey, BluMetal! No spell suppression here, I'm playing around with an off-meta dual-wield Mjölnir 'Juggernaut.' You might call me a 'mad scientist' type, as I like to tinker around with unusual builds. Last league I played a similar build as a 'Slayer' with around 7.5k hp and no armor. I was able to do 'T16' corrupted maps no problem. This league I'm experimenting with the same'ish build as a 'Juggernaut' with lots of armor and a lower amount of hit points overall. I'm still acquiring gear, as well as trying to work out the kinks and refine the minor details of the build. The skill tree was changed quite a bit since the last league, so I'm still adjusting to it, and, well... figuring things out. I've been trying out the new 'Brass Dome' (which disables life gained through strength, but in exchange gives you more max ele res) and pairing it with the 'Juggernaut' ascendancy. Yet I don't know if it is performing as well as I had hoped it would. I might re-roll to a 'Kaom's Heart' for flat hp (since I don't really need the sockets). Having to soak or block/suppress tons of burst damage seems to be key facet of this league. I do not get 'one-shot' every time I enter the nightmare realm. I can enter several times for rather extended amounts of time on certain maps, and I don't end up dead (it's why I said in the update that certain scourge mobs aren't a challenge for me). However, there are several scourge monsters which burst me down in almost a millisecond when I 'do' encounter them, I just don't know their names or what to call them (they're still as strong as ever, even after the most recent hotfix). For instance, I'll be chewing through scourge enemies with my 'Cyclone' + 'Arc' + 'Ball Lightning', and then my hp will dip to 50% all of a sudden, I'll use a seething flask, then it will dip by 50% and 45% in nearly the same second, I'll piano flask, and then I'll die if I can't exit or react fast enough (sometimes it happens even faster than that). " I can relate to that - as I am building my "own" builds as well :) (in my case around a certain "theme" / poison / element) That I am on-meta this league (Poison Concoction) is by happenstance - without this new skill I'd have taken Pestilent Strike/Viper Strike (I still might switch). Your experiences in Scourge mirror mine : there are certain attacks that do immense amounts of damage and some are seemingly not that properly visualized. Let's see what GGG does in the next few weeks ... I have my doubts though, that the Scourge crafting concept can/will be improved in a way that makes it fun and/or useful (besides map pimping...) |

Well first of all i wondered when will that thing drop that i need to put in my charslot and it never dropped. Everybody talking about it but noone said, where they got it.
I didnt want to spiler myself so it took to act6 till i googled to see that there is a bug and people dont get the item, they used to get on the coast. Till that moment i was doing scourge like crazy. Just because i hoped to get that item. And i died so often, that my whole league start was the worst ever. I really was wondering why i even do scourge. I could level itmes or maps. Well still after i finally could level Armour or maps it feels like it takes for ages to get a result and this result ist still totally rng. Im feeling like i have to play the map twice. One time normal and one time with scourge and both times it feel like im getting no rewards for it. Got to play my first t10 map gesterdayand my map and my armour still dont seem to make any progress. getting like 1500 Point per encounter and needing 80000 for a level. Scourge itself feels also very luck depending, becaus my character is nit strong enough. Many times i just got zerged without even getting a hit out. Sometime im lucky an i got a bit of time and a bit of space, then i can clear it very okish. So well, i like poe in general and im gonna play it anyways, but scourge itself wasnt a banger at all till now. But ya...just a few days in, so lets see... But also the whole not scourge parts seems a bit unrewarding. Im low on everything. Cant even benchcraft because of lack of alchemy orbs.
