ARE U REALLY FIGHTING POWER CREEP?

cuz by the looks of it, this league will be one with the most power creep of all
you guys keep nerfing things that affect EVERYONE and buff things for those 1%

like that real cool new amulet and belt, wow but it will be rare right?
and so what? that 1% will get it, make tons of videos, will show on top charts and the nerf hammer will come hard next league.. cool.. so why even do it?
in other hand, instead of leveling the plainfield u guys put valleys and montains (im not saying about dificulty, im talking about itens/builds diversity!)

gens affect all
%less dmg on skill gem affects all

for god sake, nerf the REAL PROBLEM

unique itens with broken mechanics and rares with tiers 1 that shouldnt be there, elevated mods with crazy stats...

instead of putting crazy itens, just create more fun skills and some uniques that change some mechanic in the game, and thats it... stop creating things that generates overpowered builds and then nerfing the next league saying u guys dont want more power creeps... the thing is, each league there is more and more and more of them and thats becuz of u guys!!

ITS CLEAR AS DAY THAT THIS LEAGUE WE WILL BE HAVING POWERCREEPS LIKE CRAZY
with regens going thro the roof, an amulet with 4 anoints, 4 flasks uptime belt, a glvoes that will make your aniamted guardian generate a lot of bonus to u and so on

how is it possible that no one in the team would put the hands up and say "do we want to stop the power creep or generate even more? and arent these nerfs affecting only the mid-low tier players? cuz the power creeps will be killing the bosses in 3 seconds instead of 2 seconds, so not much change for them anyways"

and dont get me wrong, i dont want an easy game, i like complex games
but come on...

Power creep for those under the 1% is a thing only. In 3.16 they're introduced two overpowered chase items that are insane, guess who'll be using them? Yes the 1%. GGG don't cap power creep to the top players. The rest of us suffer from GGG's stance on power creep.
hardcore casual.

Playing PoE for years and having fun despite GGG.
"we are fighting power creep"

tell me another joke
They aren't against power creep, it's a natural part of expanding the game with new and interesting mechanic and rewards. The nerfs were to give room for additional creep while keeping numbers relatively tame.

If they didn't occasionally throw in a round of nerfs and increases to difficulty, you get a situation similar to games like World of Warcraft where content from past expansions becomes completely trivial and the rewards become worthless.

Old content still becomes easier, even with the monster buffs and player nerfs, bosses like Shaper and Atziri aren't the same challenging content they once were. But they aren't supposed to be, there is new pinnacle content to aim for and test your character against.

Along with the new power we're also getting a new set of pinnacle content, Uber legion/breach/blight and additional simulacrum waves. And we'll probably be getting a new "final" boss to replace the Awakener next patch with the endgame rework.

Mana changes and support nerfs had a larger effect on people with 6 links and psuedo 7/8 links than it did casual players.

It's not like you can wear a Headhunter and Mageblood at the same time...

Passive masteries and defense buffs effect everyone. Unveiled crafting buff is huge for more casual or SSF players who wouldn't/couldn't pay others for desired crafts. Atlas size reduction and removal of uber lab trial requirements means there is less required content to burn through to catch up to veterans, lessening the gap.

GGG is very aware of powercreep and they are not fighting it, they are using it.

The whole reason they nerfed so much in 3.15 is so they can buff other stuff. For the simple reason that powercreep feels good to players so they give players a bunch of leagues of powercreep then sprinkle in a big nerf round and start again.

As for the strongest things being rare and "for the 1%" of course it is, a game like this needs items that are worth chasing. As it stands PoE already has far too few chase items as it is.

That said you can do just about all content with just decent gear using most skills.

They tried your approach for 2 leagues in a row where they constantly stripped players of player power and you saw a downwards trend in player satisfaction and retention.

Now GGG finally has come to their senses and started introducing fun things back into the game again.

If you don't like it, wait for hardmode.

The last sentence is 100% not true. By 20-30% of the skill maybe, by most - definitely not. Unless you are going no-lifer road.
