when did the hate to auras develope?

Have not much experience with aura bots.

I think i encountered a few times witches (during closed & open beta) during fellshrine exp runs that just walked around but gave huge buffs to party.

Considering back then gems where drop only (without dedicated gem vendors)
people made some funny experiments back then like Cast on Crit or linking Leap slam with Multistrike, which looked fun when you have an aurabot that increased speed/etc..
Masterpiece of 3.16 lore
"A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body."

Only usable with Ethanol Flasks
It becomes a problem whenever the build difference disparity is highlighted, nerfing all of us feels roughly OK if it is actually to everyone however they nerfed everyone and left an absolutely absurd multiplier in the game.

Think of how many small changes they made to skills pushing them backwards or forwards a small degree in an attempt to make them balanced for content when you could be invulnerable with 10x damage if you had a friend to be bored on your behalf.

The only reason they weren't a huge problem is because most people don't have access to one, it has an entertainment cost most of us aren't willing to accept in return for big power.

Its the playstyle I personally have beef with, I don't think GGG should encourage degenerate playstyles by putting high power behind them instead they needed to cut them, or rework them to a more active playstyle. Real support builds are good for players who enjoy that role and for games but it shouldn't be wandering around as a godmode beacon regardless of expense.
My wife left me for an aura, I was devastated and became an auranot.

I love auras and thus I love the rework. Aura stacking obviously is a completely different topic and has nothing to do with wether or not you like auras.
why use "hate", a really extreme word, for something as dumb as a game mechanic in a video game? if you think this is actual hate then your ignorance of actual real hate is adorable. but i guess everything someone disagrees with is "hate" these days.

there are many forms of hate ex:

malicious hate

hate (extreme dislike) ex. I hate chili because they are hot.

I think I spotted an oversensitive person. Hate cannot exist in video games? try playing DOTA in a random party you will know the meaning of hate.

Game was too easy for years so no one gave fk about party play because you could easily do all content solo even first few days of league.

Endgame is now much harder and at the same time more profitable and meta builds kept getting hammered down.

Latest 60-80% damage nerf put huge gap between solo players and groups because you can expect anything between 5-10x more damage from aurabot in addition to massive defence.

Gist of it that GGG wants game to be harder but you had this single archetype that completely trivialized game.

I agree with dachoppa here. He didn't say it cannot exist in a video game, he said is was stupid - which it is. You even ended your post with a perfect example of how stupid it is.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

thank you for defending him.
the word "hate" seems to trigger him very much. His reply is very unique.

when I say, I hate that game as an example does it mean I should not use that word because hate should only be used if the severity is on the same level to the actual real hate (ex. racism, discrimination)
and there are evidence here that some people don't merely disagrees about auras but they actually hate it by expressing their malicious joy (schadenfreude) towards players who will be affected in 3.16
