Why the gambling mechanics are so bad..

I have two thoughts about rngcrafting, gamble crafting, w/e people are going to call it.
1). Gambling odds of winning have to be within a legal limit. What I mean is that casinos (at least in America) have to very carefully track dealers and games they run to make sure that the house win percentage is within limits set within the law and the various gaming commissions. The house always win cliche comes from the fact that if any person gambles against the house long enough, the house will make money.
POE violates this percentage by stacking everything against the player in rolling items. To "win" as it were, you have to:
get incredible odds that you even get the mods you want,
roll good enough mod levels,
find the right base,
not get something useless to your build.
It isn't crafting and it certainly isn't gambling. It is rolling a dice 10,000 times or whatever until you roll exactly what you want.
2). Just because something is available on a benchcraft doesn't make it feasible. Why does the 6link cost 1500 fusings and locked in delve rng generation? Who knows? It is annoying as hell to find and takes up so much stash space without a stash tab. I ain't saying benchcrafts should be free, but having to click 1000 times to pick up currency, another 200 or so to move it into the stash is infuriating. In fact, for the longest time I didn't even know 6linking was benchcraftable, I just played builds that can survive well enough on a 5 or 4 link.
Don't even get me started about getting the right colors, just give us a benchcraft to add 1 white socket already.

GGG's messaging has been all over the place and they need to clearly communicate how itemization is meant to work: (1) get good items off of the ground and reduce the need for 3rd party craft/trade tools, or; (2) require players to hunt around for others' failed crafts that happen to work for them while ignoring non-currency item drops in play.

its funny how they both pride themselves on having an elaborate complicated trade system, yet they dont want u to trade Harvest crafts on discord..

So POE is basically unregulated casino from the wild west in 1800s
PoE is forcing constant state of failure onto a player to keep them motivated to continue playing the game. It is somewhat working model but us Player got spoiled by constant fluctuation of to which degree we get to fail

- investing all currency into crafting an item and ending up with nothing?
- investing all currency into further farming strategy and getting nothing?

the solution in PoE is continue doing what you are doing and expect different result.

Betting Red and getting Black is fine I guess.
I represent only myself, my own thought and believes. I am individual, not a representative of the community.
I am not speaking on behalf of someone else and I don't get offended by things that have nothing to do with me.

3.13 was the golden age.

Why doing something expecting nothing? I'm not motivated by a failure, in fact its demotivating. My most played leagues is ones where I made most success dealing with content and I usually quit when I face the wall. Maybe its something wrong with me, idk.
Yeah, I find it true, too: if somebody else is motivated by failure -good for them. I follow a more basic psychological scheme where having electric shocks as punishment won't motivate me play either aka absurd xp penalties with no sensible connection to actual gameplay events. If people really like their punishments and play-to-lose casino mechanics with progression walls, be my guest.

I don't know what it is with PoE players, somehow it attracts such obscure, proof-wise shaky, absurd theories of human psyche (failure motivates play!), economics (clunky UI makes up for imbalances of power!) and historical concepts not understood correctly (silent majority!). Some of it is straight up tin foil hat level stuff.

Even better, I've found trying to correct some misconceptions have actually resulted in mods censoring my post due to 'rule of no politics'.

if you failed cos you are at a casino and gets "motivated" by losing. that means u are an idiot and have a gambling issue and needs to seek help.

if you failed at your job cos u stay up all night trying to recover the exalts you deleted, then yes you should try again and get your life back on track.
maybe, to stop the whining, ggg could make a deterministic league where it takes you no less than 10 days of non idle pure playtime fixed to be able to 6link your chest, 3 days playtime to have an exalt drop and 8 years of playing to get a mirror.

guaranteed of course. who would play this league?

imho the solution is a mix of deterministic and random crafting.
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
