GGG licenses to tencent. chinese gov bans video games!
|
the restriction is only online games for those under 18 in China.
POE tends to cater to older than that soo not a real loss over there. |
|
"big chance lmao 3.26 when?
Don't abandon us. don't turn your backs on the ones loving poe. |

kind of funny. companies bending the knees to their every want for this long and then simply ban all games?
it feels like it's a dream and not real lol. wait is it a troll? gonna need a Chris interview lol *oh it's for ppl under 18 i believe ; doesn't affect PoE much since it's rated M :) Last edited by teksuoPOE#2987 on Sep 11, 2021, 5:25:18 PM

" ah but it will affect Blizzard's child games (hearthstone and diablo immortal), maybe now they'll stop bending over for the CCP but I doubt it. time for the video game black market in china |

This post is getting very close to violating the ToS as political. Chinese law has very little to do with PoE as we play it. China has their own realm with a very different game than the rest of the world plays. GGG is based out of New Zealand and first and foremost has to abide by their laws. They only have to cater to other countries if it becomes relevant (age rating, sales, etc).
If PoE ever becomes P2W then I will believe Tencent using full control. |

With your abilities to make something of nothing and produce clickbait, you should be working as a videogame journalist.
There's no powercreep here. Creep implies it's slow and could be overlooked, this is a full out sprint.

Wait. Still not locked?
Such durability. Give it a few more pages and I might reply in earnest. Then we will see just how tolerant Support are of posts discussing China and its seeming inclination towards an entertainment industry purge... PS i wouldn't have done it for 80 million USD. But I am one of those rare people who knows pretty much exactly how much money I need to be content and burden free. Its under a million USD, close to 2 if you include assets. 80 million? Thats a LOT of stress if you aren't planning on just pissing it away. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between. I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. Last edited by Foreverhappychan#4626 on Sep 13, 2021, 2:17:06 PM

we all don't know how much of poe belonged to 10c ideologically before the merger. means how much the chinese client run under the ggg/10c partnership did contribute to the profit.
10c paying several hundred million for the game's rights suggests that it's been alot if they pay so much to keep ggg producing content for china. --- the overal sum the founders got for their shares is of no concern, they invested all their whealth into making poe, with that attitude i assume they keep doing that if they got more money. because, for what exactly do you spend money if you live in nz als already got a house, a tesla or a golden pen. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
