No it just doesn't last, what the most jaded need to realise is it always happens at some point and just take a break but frankly if your opinion on the game is being shaped by somebody else whose just started playing you are as misguided as those that think everything's shit as soon as they nerf anything.

Perspective is everything, by Preaches current standards I am a glorious golden god at this game and I can replicate his efforts without any reading, planning or particular effort on my part - this is because what he is learning what I already learned.

I'd like to say lets see what he thinks by league 10 but I honestly doubt he will play that long, most games are best if you move on after a particularly amazing experience rather than hanging around until you get salty - only problem in this case is GGG's model is built around us hanging around.

If anything responses like the one posted are most valuable to GGG, who might occasionally need reminding that not everybody hates everything and some new players absolutely love what they are offering. For us long time players? Its completely irrelevant unless your extremely impressionable and incapable of realising for yourself if you enjoy something :p

Better be a "jaded old dog" than some npc praising garbage, eating garbage that can't think outside of enjoying garbage.

Jaded old dog? Well if that doesnt make you want to re-evaluate and log back in, I don't know what will!

PoE is cleaning up a gallon of spilled milk with 3 sheets of toilet paper.

Many "Jaded old dogs" have left and wont return, and by the look at the statistics, so have quite a few jaded new pups.

GGG have Marvel Hero'd themeselves, which is sad, and disappointing. They gambled these changes would be good for the game, and never considered what that would mean if half your players didnt see it that way.

So PoE might in fact be in a better spot from a development standpoint, but its clear far less people will enjoy it moving forward.
