Hey folks. For those interested, there's a much better post here http://forums.runicgames.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=24327 by a fellow PoE beta tester, Brixtan. I just felt it necessary to counter the op's bias with a totally unbiased and fair one. Brix loves D3, PoE AMD Torchlight II and feels the same way I do. The only way to help these games get better is to be as unbiased, fair and critical as we can be, that way we'll hopefully encourage people to see the good in these games despite the bad and get more people to support them.
There's room in this genre for more than one action/rpg.
Now thats something worth the time

You're absolutely delusional if you think it takes 25 hours MINIMUM to beat the two acts of PoE right now. I'm loving my experience, but 25 hours? Lolwut? It took me 8 hours and I had never played the game before.
Christ, do people have absolutely no reading comprehension nowadays? I pretty much outright stated it's an assumption from what we've seen and what the devs have said will be added to the game.

Your biased analysis deserves those downvotes. And his impressions about D3 aren't accurate at all. It IS Diablo. It does not look anything like Warcraft. Please take off your nostalgia glasses and play Diablo 2 again and see how colorful it is. What an absolute joke. I'm glad the redditors were keen enough to see through this biased, inaccurate, ill-informed analysis. Complete waste of time.
It really isn't Diablo. Look at comparison pictures of Diablo 3, World of Warcraft and Diablo 2. You'll see a much closer design to World of Warcraft's artstyle than D2's.
Also, D2 really isn't very colorful. The colours are very muted and faded, even when they are there.

maybe you tried to promote your subreddit with this post...
but being biased in /r/hacknslash is ridiculous...

D2 was puke inducing at times, specially in Acts 2 and 3. And go back to the grandaddy of them all (Diablo 1) and you were hard pushed to find 1 realistic colour at all. If anything it is D2 which is furthest away from the franchise as a whole (colours wise)
Nothing grinds my gears (see what I did there) more than ill informed people who think knowing a bit about a game gives them some form of ownership over the direction the developers decide to take it.
D2 was a roaring success cause they took what worked from D1 improved and ditched the rest. D3 is just the same thing happening again. Most other ARPGs are still trying to copy D2, personally I applaud D3 for trying to forge its own path.

Totally agree, and that review is much better than the OPs thinly veiled hatchet job on D3.
