Voicing my disappointment with removing half the Atlas next league

The overwhelming amount of content has been an issue before and especially is an issue now that they are slowing down the game. I m glad they are addressing it

The problem isn't overwhelming content on its own, but rather how unequal they were. For example, Heist is far more rewarding than Delve, Delirium is more rewarding than Legion, Incursion is more rewarding than Betrayal, etc.

Having tons of content available gives players more options to pick and choose what they enjoy. For example, my summoner builds are garbage for Delirium because their clear speed is awful, so instead I prefer to run Metamorph, Blight, Incursion, Betrayal, Ritual, and now Expedition. Meanwhile, speed freaks with heavy clear but poor bossing damage would rather play Delirium, Legion, Incursion and avoid the others.

The problem is that some options are simply better than others. The solution isn't to take away content that some players enjoyed, but instead balance the rewards. By taking away content, that narrows down options people like me have on what we could engage with to make currency, further discouraging certain builds from being touched in favor of ones that can effectively run content still in the game.

I don't know how you play, but imagine if GGG took away all of the league content you like running so you're just left with mapping. Would you enjoy doing the same one thing over and over again?

The only way I'd accept having content taken away is if the remaining content got balanced to have the barrier to entry lowered. Delirium/Legion/Incursion with a longer or nonexistent timer, Metamorphs aren't as 1shotty, etc.

I didn't mean that league content should be removed. I do not engage with some league content but it doesn't mean they should get rid of it. From what I understood they are addressing the grind part and I do agree the grind aspect should be addressed. The way atlas is designed right now is way too grindy and takes too long. I always found it a chore. A boring grind to get to the end game where you just click a button and collect loot. It sure can be fun sometimes but when it takes hours and hours to access the content you want it does become a chore. At least to me.

The much content is not a problem in a game and the game has not actually been slowed down nor will it be.

Removing content = bad to me. That's a pretty simple equation. Less things to do, less game to play.

It's not an mmorpg where you have near infinite amount of content, arpgs aren't suppose to be a game where you spend 12 months building a character and playing through all content.

Delusional.
First of all, i still hate this patch! So you could consider me one of those people that complains.

I don't need the atlas to be smaller, but i do want uncompleted maps to have a higher drop rate then the completed ones (unless you favor a map). Because i really do not like to trade, and especially not for such basic things.

I am a person who does a bit of everything, i try to trade as few as possible because the system is a lack cluster, and completing stuff ssf kinda style with semi casual play and my usual amount of bad luck makes completing the atlas e.g take weeks, just because i get the same maps to drop over and over instead of e.g the connected ones :S.

edit:

I like the game for it being so big, what i don't like is you are forced to go all into one mechanic and setup everything around so it actually is kinda rewarding.

e.g if you like delve ur spending more time grinding sulphite then ur actually delving.

If you like heist and actualy not get one shotted there all the time by actualy playing it instead of just opening chests on the way out, you spend more time getting the missions then actually doing the heists

etc (i leave out trade, because it's BS in this game, it's full of bots, pricefixers, flippers, scammers or afk people)
