chase items
Chase items=Broken items
Broken items=Fun items GGG and Chris shit all over harvest because their itemization when it comes specifically to dropped gear is garbage. https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/988f3369-4b68-4eb9-bc0e-edfce4c3c950

" This is similar to my experience. I did test some builds yesterday i usually use Shaper for basic dps tests its a rather reliable dummy enemy. He dropped Starforge i straight out vendored it. Last edited by zzang#1847 on Aug 13, 2021, 1:18:32 PM

For me, the perfect situation would be to have the "chase items" available to drop from the base drop pool, but also be able to be target-farmed somewhere at a somewhat higher drop rate.
The worst situation for casuals like me is having desirable items locked behind content I'll never see... The item may as well not exist. I love that certain previously-locked items now have a (very small) chance to drop for me. But I understand the allure of being able to target farm a particular zone or boss for a better chance at them. If you can spend the time building a character that can farm A8 Sirus or whatever, you should be rewarded for that. But for me, getting as far as I can in a league with my limited time is the chase. "Chase", for me, isn't "drops only from this particular boss I'll never see". - here's my sig

Btw, I just realized the perfect argument! It is in the word: "chase" item. How can you chase something that can drop from anything in the game? To "chase" something you need to see it, aim for it, target it and... Chase after it.
You don't chase something that drops from everything, you play a billion hours hoping for a drop. It is not probably your chase item, it is another one. You trade and you... Win. However, there is no skill involved, no real effort in being smart in the way you chase the item. You just throw a billion spaghetti to the wall hoping something sticks. Why isn't it fun? Because a robot could do this job. It is just alienating like an almost meaningless factory job. Grinding could be fun if some thinking is required. If it is just a repetitive, factory job no, I don't think so Last edited by entalpia#7711 on Aug 13, 2021, 9:42:32 PM

" theres no skill in farming an oni goroshi. when a shavs was 80 exalts there was more effort and smarts needed to obtain one than through trade than basically any target farmable thing in poe. a robot could farm oni goroshi, a robot could farm doctor cards. making actual serious money in a poe economy to buy an item that is worth as much as or more than a mirror takes some thought. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

" lol I explained in the post immediately prior to yours a definition of "chase" that doesn't include targeting. It's not hard. - here's my sig

" My post was not in position to yours. Having stuff also in the global pool could be ok, depending on the actual probability. My point was more general |
