The Path of Exile subreddit has become an unbearable cesspool of negativity.

reddit just needs a filter for showing the most downvoted posts on top and all would be fine.

getting downvoted on reddit is always a sign of being right cause the majority of players always votes to have poe "just be another game on their list, plays the same, is botted easily, looks slightly different".

everything that makes the game unique and outstanding is heavily attacked. it almost looks like the drivers of this hive mind want to ruin the game and prevent innovation so they have something else to complain about.

and they almost won, poe has been like a long walkthrough to endgame already: play it for 14 days after a league start, up to the next game.

so yeah, the earlier ggg gives reddit up, the better.
and it's still theirs cause outside bug reports/help and daily posts, 95% of their communication happens there
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
The game is in a very bad state. What do you expect? The negativity is far more reaching than on reddit.
I came close to quitting the PoE Reddit after the extreme whining over harvest nerfs. After 3.15 I left the sub and deleted the bookmark. I’m not interested in spending my time reading nonstop shitting on a game I enjoy. I visit r/PathOfExileBuilds now instead, it’s not as fun as the main sub used to be but at least it isn’t a deluge of raw sewage.

Play a bit more before passing judgement? it might not be as bad as you've heard.

That's fine in your case, but i feel that everyone should form their own opinion and not crowdsource it. OP clearly hasn't played the league at all and echoing what he heard from others.

Parlty may agree, tho we dont know actually his sources of info.

Also might add that echoing usually have inner basis too and personal observations from usually many sources, so can be just a summary. In a place of Earth where I live there is a saying, Im not english first, but will try to translate, it is «smart is learning on his own mistakes, wise is learning from others mistakes, but only stupid is not learning». Kinda so. Why mentioning that? May be he actually being wise to not insist into going more in tbis patch and stopped at 3 challenges, ie before acts.
There's not a whole lot to be positive about this league. Unsurprisingly, the majority of forums (Not just this forum, but reddit and steam as well as others) are steeped in negativity because people dislike the patch.
Bad patch = angry player base. What do you want? A POE forum that only allows sunshine and rainbows?

I could easily see someone quit over the patch notes.

The endgame is largely the same, the long maven and watchstones grinds aren't going to be faster after nerfs. Timers and mob health remain the same, so builds that didn't feel great in endgame aren't going to feel better just because other builds got nerfed harder.

People who didn't like RNG boss hunting for a conditional kill challenge in ultimatum aren't going to like four more.

And people who thought there was too much clicking aren't going to like 20 new currency shards that drop from chests in the league mechanic.
