New Fishing connection idea (Really)

Hello,

I had completely lost track of Path of Exile. Now I came across something by chance while watching an old movie. The content of the movie:

A man who works for FedEx crashes with his plane and lands "In Exile" on a deserted island. I saw the movie in German, but it has the original title "Cast Away".

Then it hit me like a bolt of lightning. What does the fisherman Krillson say?

"The next step on your journey to becoming a Master Fisherman worthy of the Winding Pier is to actually catch some fish. Fishing is the simplest thing in the world. With your rod equipped, just approach a pool of water and CAST AWAY. It's really intuitive."

A fishing rod is no weapon for caster build. I think "Cast Away" is not related to "cast a spell".

How does the Hero in the film call his volleyball friend? WILSON !!!

Maybe the key is hidden in the film! That could make sense. The film is from 1999 / 2000, a time before POE. The hero lands on an island and struggles to survive.

One example idea how to progress:
A fishing rod has 4 Sockets. Every gem has a letter connected to it. Perhaps a special word must be created to enable fishing. (e.g. "Levu", "Fiji", "Cook"-island, volley-"ball". For more ideas see Wikipedia link further down.)

I don't speak English well enough to detect clues in the movie in the original language. Perhaps you can investigate this possibility further ...

A FedEx commercial during the 2003 Super Bowl parodied the final scene of the film, in which Chuck Noland returns a package to its sender. In this version, the woman answers the door, and when Noland asks what was in the box, the woman replies: "Just a satellite phone, GPS locator, fishing rod, water purifier, and some seeds. Just silly stuff.

Sure the movie is some years older than the game, but fishing can still refer to the movie which was created before the game. (Only if the film would have been made after Path of Exile, a connection would not be possible)

Edit: If you need a time mark. The item need for finding a fishing rod: Fairgraves' Tricorne was introduced in game Version 0.9.6 from February 7, 2012 (like other fishing related items like Slitherpinch)

Maybe there is another higher level of unique resonator that we need to find. A resonator that looks more like a volleyball than a soccer ball?
