Anyone Else Just Want To Play Some POE?

But it feels like GGG ruined the game...

Here's a list of games I've tried playing over the past week:

-Witcher 3
-Devil May Cry 5
-Borderlands 3
-Dying Light
-Metro Exodus
-Far Cry Primal
-Far Cry 5
-Prey
-Grim Dawn

All of them uninstalled within a day or two because I got tired of playing them. Currently installing Doom Eternal which I have high hopes for...

I'm not re-installing POE cuz the current state of the game is annoying to play, but I really want to build out a char and clear the league content.

POE seems to be the only game that can get any real time investment out of me. Anyone else like this?

POE seems to be the only game that can get any real time investment out of me these days. Anyone else like this?

I play poe in 200x200 window doing trades while playing warframe and rimworld on full screen with anime on my second screen along with trade tabs.

That way u feel like still playing poe, while enjoying actual playing.

I even challenged myself and did uber lab in that tiny window just now, getting this useless enchant

But i just wanted enchant for cosmetic purpose anyway, and this is fine.

Just remember that once you're done "investing" that time, you'll only "clear content as you please" for the next two months or so, after which the next league starts and you get to "invest" more time all over again! I hope you enjoy investing your time on Act 1-10 again in our new more visionary less-rewards-that-make-you-quit-early environment!

There is standard that gets league content on 3 months delay usualy if thats your problem here.

i thoroughly enjoyed Far Cry 5. i think i bought it for like 5 bucks or something too around christmas

right now im absolutely loving Heroes of Hammerwatch. can't get enough of the rogue-lite genre and this game is a freaking gem with TONS to do. lots of characters and each one feels pretty great to play IMO.

also just dumped 17 hours into the Factorio demo. i'll probably pick that one up soon. freaking addicting as hell.

i got tons on my list. plenty to keep me busy for a year+. and Outer Wilds is having a DLC coming up Sept 28th which is a guaranteed purchase for me.

steam is also adding all the final fantasy titles. i look forward to playing through 1-6 again. great times.

Yeah.. I took a break from PoE a while ago (PoE burnout ;) ). Was trying many games, but none of them kept me interested as PoE did.

Doesn't matter, GGG ensures standard is basically the same deal. They'll kill your builds and gear.

For me, going to WoW classic TBC worked well. I'm feeling the grind but I get to keep my rewards there. Progression feels rewarding. Also, open world.

Oh, and no XP death penalties!

I'm fine with standard myself, but I have a feeling the OP isn't (otherwise they would be playing on Standard instead of Leagues in the first place)

I can think of several reasons why he'd rather play on Standard, such as the state of Standard's economy and the fact that Standard always gets the league content in a downsized form (or not at all in some cases. For example, Standard didn't get Ultimatum. Which by the way means Standard has now gone 4 months without any new content whatsoever besides a big slap in the face with a nerfhammer that they probably hate even more than League players do considering that anyone who hates zoom zoom probably wouldn't be playing on "Everyone has twink gear all over" server in the first place)

So yea, invest that time so you can run end game content only for it to be taken away from you in two more months. That's the dilemma most league players face, and I noticed an awful lot of posts from people quitting had some variant of "I find myself asking, "Why spend time not having fun to get to this endgame that will be gone in a few months?"" in them (both clearing the acts and re-doing the Atlas and various other grinds like Heist or Betrayal etc), so most of them realized that.

Should try a game you can play for longevity like Dota2 or Counter Strike.
If you're a weeb you can ofc go with LoL or Valorant instead.
