Heist out of balance - Monsters too strong
I am lvl66 and a green contract for Isla dropped, lvl57. I really have problems to do this since the monsters are too strong, hell i even died.
So my suggestion is: either rework the health and strength of heist monsters or just don't let the green contracts drop so early, they should drop at char level 90 so you really can do it!!! I have 6 Zombies in a 6L, carrion golem (with minion damage+melee phys) and two spectres. I have 3 jewels socket which even give +15-16% more minion damage, did the first 3 labs and still need so much time to clear it - if i could survive. Last bumped on Aug 7, 2021, 12:06:02 PM

"I hear you brother. It's going to take some time for them get around to tweaking the things they need to, so I would get used to things like this happening. As someone who plays summoner and also like hiest I appriciate the heads up. Have you thought about maybe bringing back the Baron zombie str stacking build? It may give you some extra oomph and the stuff should be relatively cheap. Last edited by Xtorma#4606 on Aug 6, 2021, 3:03:29 PM

OP - I recommend you look at skills like Frost Shield, Ice Wall, Decoy Totem and Summon Vaal Skeleton - they help a lot in heists, even with with zero support gems.
Also, Phase Run in the last socket of your CWDT setup is very helpful, particularly on a minion build. You should also consider a Quartz Flask for getting out of tight jams. Heist is more about diversion and evasion than plowing your way though a mangled pile of bodies - unless you big-time out-level the content or have a very expensive - and TANKY - build. Layered Dodge/Evade, Block/Armor, and large pools of ES/HP are very helpful, which is a departure from most mapping builds. Heist is not particularly kind to glass-cannons unless you have screen-melting damage. |

" I am not talking about doing heists in high level builds, this is about the green contracts, that jam your inventory and that already drop in acts. You can't stow them in the stash and can only throw them away in an act. So if you are in act 9 and have already 3 of the green contracts jamming your inventory, you want to get rid of them and do them. Ok, you could just throw them away and ignore them, but that would even make less sense. And yes, you might wanna use some skills you suggested, but that doesn't address the point i am talking about. When you get the objects for mission completion, doors get locked and tons of enemies will stay behind it also monsters will spawn from your side while you are opening the door. You could also only evade till the next closed door and until it is opened, you have to handle the plethora of unique and rare monsters that stream in. The pure amount of unique security specialists and yellow rare monsters that will appear then is just too much to handle because of their increased life. And you can't just phase run through all of them since you have to open the doors first. Before the last patches you could handle heists that were around your char level easily, now the balance is gone. Too much life and too many monsters. And i am not talking about lvl90, I mean chars in the acts. I used a non glass cannon build. Before I did a green contract with my lvl85 bow char and failed completely lol. |

" The skills I suggested will specifically assist you with precisely those situations. " Yes. Don't try to murder your way through heists. "Crowd control" is the operative phrase here. Decoy totems, mirror arrow, ancestral protectors/guardians, vaal skeletons, ice walls, phasing flasks, phase run, blind, skills that freeze, temporal chains + weakness aura, beast league spider aura, skitterbots... so many options. You don't need to kill the monsters. Crowd Control them and move on. If you don't want to invest in some manner crowd control, then you'll have to buy your way past the encounters by out-leveling or out-gearing them. The flaw of globally nerfing everything player side and not adjusting anything else.
I was doing Heist fine. Slow, but no danger. Recently came into from cash. In the middle of upgrading my gear appropriately. Of course first thing I grab is a 480 DPS Foil. I do a lvl 80 Contact, first rare I see has "Substantial increases Damage of self and allies", I Leap Slam Fortify, Enduring Cry for 4 Charges. Die in 1.5 seconds. First pack from zoning in. I was baffled. Only the 2nd time this character has died and I didn't even get to swing. For context: Slayer, 4.7k HP, 51% Physical DR, 27% Evade 76%Max Res, could be better... Immune to Stun, Reflect, Almost immune to all Elemental Ailments. Leech 30% of my HP per second. I admit, I didn't look at the mods... Because I'm a Slayer but damn, no alarm, rare pack? Again, I am not talking about chars with high lvl gear or the opportunity to fit all the gems, I am talking about lvl55 heist contracts. At lvl55 chars with lvl 66 should be able to do it. SincPoint.
@sabranic You make it sound like it is my fault that I can't complete a lvl55 heist. Why is your profile still private? Are you playing this league at all or are you just posting the "sounds like standard support answers" here? Last edited by Sashyme#2207 on Aug 7, 2021, 11:08:27 AM

" That's critically low on the hit points, DR, Evade, especially for a level 80 heist. Without at least 7k hit points, you don't have enough padding on a melee to handle the damage spikes. You also need to layer dodge or block on top of your evasion. Evade decays over repeated hits, so you need a secondary form of defense. Another thing people are not used to - the slower life recovery is actually a really dangerous map/contract mod now. Pre-patch is was just free quantity. Post-patch, it impacts your leech, your regen and your potion recovery in very dangerous ways. I recommend a blood of the Karui or a good Panicked Divine Flask. " I am not talking about high level characters either. Get some crowd control, or accept that you'll have to out-level or out-gear the content to do it. Point. |

" So you just can't accept the fact, that the global nerf makes heist unplayable for low level chars, I get the point. Are you in anyway related to GGG that you defend them so much? And again, I can do all content just fine that is below or same as my level - expedition, delve, etc-, but heist not. That I call out of balance Last edited by Sashyme#2207 on Aug 7, 2021, 11:13:40 AM
