Just how I remember it, when back in 2014 it took me 120+ seconds to kill Brutus oh wait.

A fact is a statement that can be supported to be true or false by data or evidence. In contrast, an opinion is a personal expression of a person’s feelings or thoughts that may or may not be based in data. Last bumped on Aug 6, 2021, 8:22:40 PM

But you have to remember, that the powercreep back then was way out of control as they strayed from their vision.
Farming salt on the forums since 2024

Are you really comparing Heavy Strike to Caustic Arrow (in a 2 player party which means 50% inc life and both are using CA) to make your point?
Heavy Strike was more than just decent to kill bosses back then and you know it.
Cmon you can do better than this.

skills will always be different, in general in a good balanced game you would have skills that are better at single target, better at groups a bit of a mix. All skills skills should be able to reach similar times.
2 players should be 100% hp increase as both players can do same amount of dps, so yes i believe you can use this comparence. You should be able to get similar times and not an offset of 10s v 2+ min just looking at the skills
Now playing with 2 people actually should make you even faster as it's the hp is not doubled but just increased with 50% no wonder there is so much powercreep, all those party players... so i do not understand ur argument.

DoTs of the same source dont stack.
It doesnt matter that there are two players, they are sharing the same dmg source and are not dealing twice the dmg as you suggested.
Also this specific DoT is a ground effect. Both players are running around like headless chicken and Brutus is chasing after them, so their dmg uptime is low whereas the Heavy Strike Marauder just facetanks Brutus and smashes his face in.
You dont see a difference here?

2 different players arent the same source
also melee can not facetank bosses anymore
you need totem or ranged as melee

In addition to what was said to disprove the ridiculous comparison: Player power creep kicks in a lot later with influenced items and Ascendancies than act 1 in campaign.

What about the majority of people that don't use influenced items?
