Player Manifesto

He is not suggesting gold as currency, but as a means to mitigate clicks. Think perandus coins, just Perandus is permanently in hideout and permanently offers all the currencies for a given pc cost. Bonus points for autopickup perandus gold 2.0.

Don't like the game? quit...we don't need to hear/read a shit ton of text about how YOU construe your vision of the game as being reasonable when they are not.

As stated 10 years ago, GGG will make the game they want to (even if they change direction) and if you like it great if not well that's up to you.

Huge x, d my friend. Thanks for your input.
it doesnt matter if only 10% of players care about standard, them caring gives value to all the items in the temp league trade economy. u say streamers are an example of not caring... ziz, don the crown etc buy items in standard worth 1000s of exalts because they love collecting stuff there. they are about it, and that means items in a temp economy potentially have value to them, and that means those items in turn have value to the people finding them because they can sell them to one of these people who care.

the entire struggle with arpgs is giving the loot value and finding ways for it to maintain value. its a loot hunt game, its essential to hunting it that it is valuable. 1 guy wanting a rare thing gives the thing value, that means theres a valuable thing that everyone can loot, it brings value to everyones game.

if you void leagues you break down a foundational element of the games economy. every time you grind a map what drops lasts forever, even if you dont care about its future beyond X point others do, EVERYTHING that drops is forever, it has value based on forever, sometimes even speculative value based on something that might happen years into the future. right now everyones unique flasks are legacy, and its given them value, and that means flasks that had little value when you looted them 6 years ago in a league are now being dug out of remove only tabs and sold for 100s of exalts. after the first 3 week hotspot its standard value that is keeping grinding maps in leagues economically relevant. if you take that away you remove so much value from everyones gameplay it would be catastrophic.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

That's true, there are items you can find in standard only, and by collecting currency from several leagues streamers tend to spend k's of exalts or mirrors for it. But that was not the point. For example Ziz is playing seasonal leagues only, after he spends some time with league he just plays other games for a month/s between next league. (Recently it was some fps game, you can check it on his stream schedule)

Another great example from Ziz are his temp tabs from leagues that he will newer go through again, those items will never populate standard economy. Only those 10% of people who play seasonal and standard leagues empty their tabs.

(Those struggles are for MMORPG games mostly in my opinion.)

Making seasonal leagues void was just a thought.

What brings and takes away most value are meta changes, but i agree, items are worth what people wish to pay for them. I didn't propose disabling trading, items would still be traded for currency items.

But i get you, for some feeling of achievement, and having something to remind you of it might be important.
