SSF should have options to group up with people
|
But make it so people cant trade normally. With this I mean that item drop has 1 min timer so you can only trade with person you in group with. This way you cant compare it to trade league and can still play with people.
Personally I hate trade league and buy best equipment with currencies but I also dont like that ssf is boring to play solo. So this is strange dilemma where you want mix of both. Last edited by Goredeath#7093 on Jul 29, 2021, 2:43:39 AM Last bumped on Apr 7, 2023, 2:59:13 AM

No it shouldn't.
SSF = SOLO selffound As for it being a different mode entirely, just no thanks. We have enough modes already. |

If memory serves me right, and usually it doesn't, SSF as a concept was born during Breach league, and it was a GGG's attempt of giving a player a way to certify a certain item they found was born from their blood, toil and sweat rather than their money and lucky trades.
Partying with another player could defeat the purpose. Even supposing a permanent allocation drop for "SSF parties" would not be enough - after all, when a player leaves an area, all of their reserved loot is free to be taken by anyone. Not to mention the extra drops the mere partying would give you (but this can be taken away quite easily). The question is: would you, in this "not-so-solo self found" environment accept the idea of not being able to exchange items with your party members? (there is, after all, no difference between purchasing an item and swapping something with your actual friends, game-wise) |

SSF got added to the game based on player request, because they wanted a SSF ladder where "cheating(trading)" wouldn't be possible - and, of course, for bragging rights.
You don't strike me as a person that cares for ladders and competition, so my question to you; why don't you just play with your friends in the regular league - and ignore trading? The drop rates are the same, and will always stay the same. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

SSF is there for people who enjoy a challenge and can play against like minded people, either with item creation or by racing objectives and the ladder.
Adding grouping defeats the purpose of having a solo economy. If you want to group with people but not trade, then you can already do that on the normal leagues |

I play ssf because it feels like an rpg, whereas trade feels like a slot machine. private leagues are actually a good middle ground, although i don't think there is a self found option.

Hope you have a wonder day. That's all they'll let me say on this.

i would love this. My wife and i play often together and were just discussing how fun it would be to have a separate place for us to ssf together. we could share drops and move forward progressing our characters and accounts together. im not sure why so many people are against this. the main argument i see is that you can do it on normal but the problem with that is then everything i stash gets lumped in with my stuff from normal league and it would be basically impossible to keep everything from our 2 accounts separate for the purposes of progression.

+1
Guild SSF would be amazing. Especially in Ruthless. Last edited by Cihondar#3042 on Apr 6, 2023, 6:06:05 AM
