Are streamers using cocaine?

they aren't using cocaine at least on stream, but adderal 100% its a very very common drug that a lot of streamers use to keep going and give them a boost to keep up the long streams, if twitch streamers had to get mandatory random piss tests i'd say at least 85% would fail for amphetamines if not more.

might be true if ur only testing american streamers?

i come from the uk, i dont know anyone who has ever taken adderal, ive never even heard of someone who someone i know knows who has even tried it once. the drug exists here and is prescribed to a tiny amount of people with severe adhd afaik, but you could go out and stop 100 people on the street and theres a high probability not a single one will have ever known anyone in the uk whos ever taken adderal in their life.

someone said meth lol... again that essentially doesnt exist in the uk. this goes for a lot of countries i think. adderal and meth seem like a huge deal in the usa, i presume theres other countries where they are very common but i think ull find a lot of countries where its almost like these drugs dont even exist. its the same with prescribed pain killers, i think if uve got a completely private healthcare system the doctors basically become drug pushers who get everyone hooked on speed and pain killers for life. over here theres drugs everywhere but if you went out looking for someone irl who takes adderal or oxycontin youd be hard pushed to find anyone. i think the majority of people would never have even heard of those drugs.

I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

They look dead inside (but playing great). I recall Raiz being called out after a 2 day stream.

PoE is a job to them, at this point. Its not fun anymore, they just do it because its their source of income.
Ofc they will look dead inside.

The richest PoE streamer of them all (take a guess) looks FAR from dead inside. In fact he's famous for being the exact opposite, which some people can't stand.

I'm a bit surprised to hear that about the UK, it is much more prevalent here in the US. Probably at least a third of the people I knew in college were using some sort of amphetamine at some point, and they're massively overprescribed to children here. Tons of people would sell their extras/get scripts just to make extra cash instead of taking them. I had plenty of friends who were basically entirely dependent on them due to being started on them before teenage years by the wonderful medical system.
There's no powercreep here. Creep implies it's slow and could be overlooked, this is a full out sprint.

Always heard those rumors about the US and their prescriped meds... couldn't really believe this, but I guess it's just unbelieveable if u don't get to experience it.

In Germany we don't have stuff like that and honestly it would frighten me, if the medical system would make our children dependend/addicted on some expensive medications.
I think that's true for most/all european countries aswell.

Also never knew anyone who used skill/focus improving medications at university/work.

It's definitely less common here in the UK, both misuse and prescriptions.

According to the below, amphetamine medication in the US was 7 times greater than that of the UK in 2012. It also reads "The US accounts for <5% of the world’s population but 83.1% of the global volume of ADHD medications".

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6261411/

Similarly, for misuse, the highest misuse groups in both the US and the UK is 18-25 years old, which are 6.5% and ~0.8% respectively.

I have recently started streaming and am very small time. Only 50 followers with an average view count of 4 people. However I can attest to how tiring the work is. What you see on stream is only a portion of it specially if you are a bit smaller. There is a lot of networking going on in the behind scenes in an attempt to get your viewer count up. Ontop of that there is planning of content, reviewing of backlogged videos to see how you can improve, setting up events and ect. All this also comes with a little bit of stress depending on the streamers level of skin which can come from the eternalization of some of the comments viewers can make. So if a streamer is looking tired and pushing on, it's probably because they are tired and attempting to enjoy the game they are playing while tired.

The more draining things about streaming has next to nothing to do with the actual game playing itself. See the prior comment^ for a first hand account.
