Don't listen to Reddit GGG. This game's direction is great! (Not sarcasm)

Exactly. That's why they did not improve on that at all.

no it hasnt. the games tedium has been rewound over 3 years. Also why do people think the game was harder way back when? It's gotten progressively harder each expansion, you just know how to play it now instead of running around with 0 knowledge

My biggest complaints with PoE in the past were flask piano and how PLAYING THE GAME felt like you didn't play the game at all. You literally just opened a browser, bought your items and then destroyed mapping in a few hours. The sense of pride and accomplishment of building characters and progressing to endgame was gone.

They had this fixed in Ritual with harvest, it was a lot of fun to craft your own gear and incrementally improve things as you found groves through regular mapping.

It was only broken when people sitting on discord consumed thousands of players worth of found crafts to make impossible items in a day. Rather than nerfing the trading aspect of it, they doubled down and now the only way to use the system efficiently is to sit on a website and trade.

I see no plans to change this in the future, or to have meaningful mapping rewards to that level of impact. Until they are willing to add other restrictions to item acquisition, instead of solely relying on friction, crafting and loot will always be undermined by trade.

Nothing about what they did has anything to do with rewinding difficulty.

Flasks and mana management weren't more interesting or more important mechanics 3 years ago, they've been largely unchanged.

Ailments, stuns, poisons, and bleeds weren't more deadly 3 years ago, they just want us to invest more into defenses and less into DPS. Unfortunately there aren't many interesting gameplay choices associated with these changes. You build for immunity or you suffer without.

There are builds that can do the content just as easily this patch, and others that have ceased functioning entirely. The fact is they've designed content around the power level of players, shaper used to have 18M health, its now over 70M and harder fights like maven have over 150M.

Trying to blanket nerf everything without bringing up the lowest performers and unused gems isn't going to shake up the meta like they want it to. It's just going to push content out of the scope of many builds.

The biggest reason people are upset is theres nothing to get excited for on the other side of these nerfs. This is the second league in a row where the endgame is objectively less rewarding than it was in 3.13. Three leagues of the same endgame getting progressively worse each iteration is just hard to find engaging.

Why people who just finished acts think this is the game? Try maps with perma freeze/bleed.

yes it has, it has everything to do with rewinding difficulty.

we keep going faster and faster, and the way the flask system works the faster we go the more powerful our flasks are.

and yes, flasks have changed over time, freeze immune for the duration of a flask etc was not always a thing.

Played since nemesis, you're wrong it was not that much harder back then than last season (Ultimatum). Act 1 mobs still were not tedious, you didnt kite zone bosses around for 5 minutes. You had more random weird rippy 1 shots but I'm not sure how you think nemesis or older seasons long ago were hard...they weren't. The curve used to be rougher with resistance being harder to get so readily back then and less item/skill variety but thats about it. You're mistaking the fact that there are tons more items and skills to choose from so people can accidentally pick a good skill that can carry them through the acts.

Not really sure what weird nostalgia trip your getting on about with the game being omega brutal hardcore hard. It was a joke in nemesis to get to merciless...just like getting to A10 was up until Ultimatum. We all love to play the campaign and only do storyline ..."said no one".

They could of just "Increased all monster life by 15%" and slowly tweaked lacking skills upwards instead of turning all the nobs randomly like unruly children in a power plant and breaking it for half the city (of players). The idea that they claimed they playtested it with Chris Wilson even came out saying "We may have gone too far" on reddit just a bit ago is laughable.

I've seen you being hyper defensive all over the forums and i get it you really like GGG, like a lot... and you don't care what they do, you'll give them your money and say its the best thing ever and defend them viciously with "daddy knows best" but sorry...many of us don't feel that way at all. Maybe you just hate the meta chasers so much you'd prefer to see them all cry by GGG destroying their entire game...who knows.

I'm sure we share the same common feeling that the meta chasers were a pain and kinda took the fun out of making an alternate build. It was starting to get balanced around that expectation where 6m dps wasn't enough to feel efficient and you needed to chase after insane jumps but this patch didnt fix it, it broke alternate builds right along side meta builds.

Every game should start out easier and slowly work its way up in difficulty. They put a brick wall in front of people right at the beginning which is dissuading players to even try the league or ...you know try the game for the first time. This is game design 101, even Dark Souls 1, 2, and 3 had intro bosses that set the expectation of difficulty but it was all very easily doable content at first.

I wish I could understand your sentiment but I really just can't... I've said it in other threads I'm still a fanboy of GGG but that doesn't mean i won't call a spade a spade, this season is (IN MY OPINION) garbage.
You actually do not slow anything, you just have the build diversity gone to shit. Stop giving feedback if you don`t play SSF or HC. Look on poe.ninja
players should have a choice
we need two versions of the game
3.13 for poe1
and all the crap 3.14+ for poe2
dead game
bring back 3.13

Shoot if i could buy a private league that rolls back to the previous patch instead of "Fun modifiers" i would be fine with that if they wanna destroy the main game.
What is this argument.. the guy wrote stop giving feedback if yoh don't play ssf or hc ... lol like if they were the only one who have a say in the game. I think every exiled should be free to express his opinion and mine is as folow... i fully agree with the maker of this thread. Keep up the good work GGG and don't bother with those crybaby ^^ ,*for they will probably keep playing you'r game anyway*

You just prevent you'r game from the sad fatality that was D3...
