I have a lvl80 Templar who doesn't yet have a 5L. 4L is all you need with 5L and 6L being available to provide "additional" options for survivability, dps or magic find.


You are running a dual totem spark build on your templar, which is probably the least item dependent build in the game

Yup, it's a build I put together back in CB, specifically as a starter character for OB and other new leagues, (such as Alpha).

The sole purpose being to start with an effective farmer with low equipment requirements that is capable of stacking MF and running end game maps.

It also proves that you don't NEED anything beyond a 4L to run end game maps with high IIQ/IIR.

Maybe so but anyone who starts out with a first char that requires a 6L, with all 6 being off colored is just asking for a world of hurt. It's just such a bad gameplay strategy that it's no wonder we see so many newbies here blaming RNG for their struggles.

Side note....my GS marauder was lvl70 before getting a 5L, (single digit death count), and I put a Stun gem in the 5th slot. No additional DPS but admittedly better survivability.
