Running enduring cry is also probably hurting you a lot. YOur resists may be capped with full endurance charges, but once you cast enduring cry your resists get wrecked and therefore you get wrecked

Enduring cry won't wreck his resists. You must be talking about immortal call, but he doesn't use it.
Thank you all for the feedback.

My resists are over cap. Enduring Cry I use because I don't like other cry options, I prefer the free heal on cd. I use flasks 3-4 all the time bar boss encounters on cd. flask 1 is my rage buff / heal when needed. Abyssus vs the Minotaur was probably the worst factor in my death on re-entry with no fortify.

I don't see how 5,370hp is too low to play all the content without failing all portals on an encounter. I have looked at the HP nodes and the number of them I would have to take would reduce the build to such a basic tree. If that is what's required to succeed in PoE, why design such a broad talent tree with such diversity?

I like to play ARPG games for fun, not to be one shot by an encounter that took this long playing in Ultimatum to get four correct fragments.

My character does fine until I hit special encounters like this. When you compare them to the rest of the game the scaling is wrong. The step up in difficulty is far too great. To practice said encounters costs a lot of time. It's not like you can run the game offline and just practice the hard fights to figure them out so you don't have to sacrafice so much of your time to try again.

It feels like the game is what it should be when you start out. Monster smashing fun. Then as you progress the game becomes something entirely different. It feels purposely designed to waste your time. I have had much more memorable experiences with games that I have played far less hours and given far less funding.
I mean you are trying to tackle some of the hardest content in the game here, is it really so suprising that the final boss of a game is tougher than the random monsters you faced on the way?

Also it's not your life that's the problem or the diversity. You can totally beat that encounter with 5k life or less if your build is good. The sad truth is just that your build isn't. You made a wide array of false choices on the way plus most likely a bunch of player errors during the fight and failed it as a result. The game is telling you with this that something is wrong with your character and you are supposed to do something about it. If you don't want that, fine, go ahead and quit in favor of other games that provide no difficulty what so ever, that's what they are there for. As far as POE goes there is plenty of content for happy and carefree monster killing but the endgame bosses typically have a certain level of difficulty and require at least somewhat decent builds with balanced offenses and defenses or a high level of player skill.
Put a Redblade Banner in your 2nd weapon slots. When you enter a place, switch to 2nd weapon set and use enduring cry. You'll get max endurance charges immediately.

You do use too many unique items. Some unique items you use are not necessary. Change them to rare ones, you can get better DPS and survivability.
Isn't the formed the shaper one? That's the easiest one.

You just kill hydra first. She's the only one that can hit and kill you from range. Everyone else can be kited in the meantime.

The hidden wasn't that hard either. You just kill uel or w/e the hell his name is. The guy that drops permanent shit on the ground.

Really you don't even need to stack up defenses for these, you just kill the highest priority targets and run around in circles + pepper things to death for the rest.
I had a lenghty response but it seems the web coding didn;t like it and it never went through.

Oh well. That's quite enough time and effort spent on this I guess.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and leave some feedback. Good luck to you all.
