With the way this community overreacts to absolutely everything, is it shocking that they've gone minimalist with community interaction?
Not everyone is that way, but there is more than enough venom to warrant radio silence. As long as the servers stay online, all good. Thanks for all the fish!

I think that GGG placed Bex in a bad situation. She didn’t do anything wrong but the decisions made above her caused outrage and she paid the price for it just as much as Chris did.
I don’t think anyone deserves personal attacks for representing a company. That’s basically never okay. But trashing a game or being overly negative to it is fair but only if it’s balanced and proportional to the problems they caused. I think this game and team has received a lot of love from the community for which they deserve but that goes hand in hand when you talk about the hate they’ll also receive when they change the fundamental principle of the game. Streamer priority is the most unbelievable thing I’ve ever seen because Chris Wilson had done so many talks about the new leagues being a pillar of the game. Fresh economy and people having the chance to race and compete with their friends or favorite streamer. All the changes they make to harvest etc is totally their decision. They’ve been upfront about all of that but to repeatedly talk about new leagues and why there so important then do the exact opposite shows a level of…..something. |

The company is way too big now to put all community control/moderation on one person. Usually Bex could post one thing and all of Reddit would bow down but that's no longer the case. This leads to extreme cringe like when Bex tried to dox a Redditor to paint them as a racist to deflect from Tencent criticism. She should've never been put in that situation.
Chris should be the sole person taking flak and addressing major game/league mechanic failures in 2021, with the senior devs addressing game mechanic and bug concerns. Bex should be focused on behind the scenes work with hype posts ready for launch week. GGG is doing things right IMO. |
