better notification of boss death...

Based on the PoE2 previews, they're putting together a system showing the boss's name(s) health bar when you encounter it and thus it'll be obvious when you do kill it.

Hopefully that will extend to all map bosses as well, and hopefully they'll bring it in before PoE2 since such a system is a UI update, not really a gameplay change. And hopefully that extends to when you're in the instance but not "nearby."

Well, map bosses die in microseconds, and lot of times off-screen. I can't remember from the PoE2 previews, if the boss HP remains visible after death, but otherwise it may well also just flash on a screen filled with flashing effects and will be lost.

Yes that would be a great QoL.

On the other hand we will have some kind of special health boss bar for unique monster in PoE so that as a display will tell when you have killed the unique or not.
To vanquish without perils is to triumph without glory.
even if it's just the map boss name that is on the screen and gets crossed out when it is dead or have it like the NPC missions where they show completed as in Niko, Zana, etc. something very simple.
poe is going down fast. Diablo 4 and Baldur's Gate 3 have no performance issues. play them instead

My hope for it is even if you blast it down under a second, the bar will slowly fade out or something like that. I don't recall from the previews either but I'm not in a place to go through them right now so it'll be later.
this is still something that should be in the game. even if it's a health bar at the top of the screen that is empty. just something so you know the boss has been killed

Here is a little controversial take on this situation

How about making bosses feel like bosses so we won't have to wonder if it died by accident 3 screens away? Even it it means flattening the power curve of all builds across the board since otherwise they will become unkillable for majority of the builds.

More realistic, cheap solution (sadly I can't expect much form GGG at this point of PoE lifecycle) would be to include insane damage resistance if it is out of view or didn't get a chance to announce its presence or complete spawning animation.

EDIT: but please, no more invincibility phases mid fights, this is the crappiest solution that feels bad no matter what build you play

that might prevent "us" from getting 1 shot 2-3 screens away. so i know that part won't get changed lol
