I don't think many of the good helmets are in the pool since you can't upgrade corrupted items and it can't roll boss drops. Alpha's Howl would probably be the best in the pool for +2 socketed gems.

Is alpha's howl even good though? Id imagine the reservation enchant is more sought after. Could you enchant it first and then corrupt it to have the enchant kept? And then its a 1 in a million to hit alphas howl.
