Do I loose everything in PO2?

You don't get to choose the new or old. The new ascendancies will do the new campaign, and the old ascendancies will do the old one.

It's just an update to the game and the new campaign will be inaccessible to "POE1" characters but the endgame will be shared.
I'm a story person so I won't start playing again until 2.0 comes out. I wanna marry my character and not get gimped like those who've been loyally playing since 2013, hohoho.

Hope you're not serious. You're missing out on the "story" by doing that. You're also gimping yourself. There's a whole lot to be learned... you can't play this game on a rail no matter how strong your guide is. There's skills to develop and language to learn.

Oh... and it's at least summer of 2023 before we see PoE2.

PoE2 and PoE will be the same game.
All existing gear will be transformed (details not known) into the new socket system.

All existing characters, stash tab contents, etc, will be retained.

New characters will have the option of leveling via the old PoE story, or the new PoE2 story.

Endgame will be shared between toons that leveled PoE and PoE2.

I'm glad you're serious. You can play the game any way you like. You're in charge of yourself. There's not a whole lot to be learned... you can play this game any which way since your guide is strong . There's not much to learn.

Oh... and it's not been revealed when we'll we see PoE2.

It is only a very small percentage of traders that are able to pull this off.

You keep everything which is logical given the fact that many people spent years playing to accumulate what they have now.

So far the only thing we know is that you will need to get 6L gems for your main skills to replace your current ones. The corrupted lvl21 6L gems will probably be super rare and expensive initially when POE 2 launches. So you will lose your current lvl21/23 gems.


Though you gain in other areas. eg. Abyss sockets will no longer have a huge opportunity cost so the BIS items will be those with abyss sockets. So if you want to mirror stuff now, consider going for items with abyss sockets.
