Give us a warning if we try and craft over an item that fits our search criteria.

Just with the amount of Alteration spam required for so many things nowadays, it'd be really nice if we could put in "Flaring" for example and if we accidentally try and reroll an item that has flaring, it would pop up with "The item you are trying to modify fits your search criteria, are you sure?"

And yes, I'm saying this after alt spamming about 500 alterations and I hit what I wanted only to see it highlight and click before my mind caught up lol. It was an auspicious Valdo's Rest watchstone... so about a 7ex mistake.

Put the item into your crafting slot in the currency tab, type "flaring" or whatever down below in the searchbar and wait for the item to be highlighted while spamming alts.
As long as its not highlighted you didnt hit flaring or whatever it is you are trying to roll

Did you even read the post? I did that. The problem is when you are spamming hundreds, you get into kind of a mindless zone and can easily mess up. I have seen it done on stream for other people before, I have done it several times too. You get used to clicking and before your brain reacts to the thing lighting up, you've already clicked.
If you dont pay attention, you get punished.

End of story. No hand holding pls
This is a good idea. Similar to GGG solving the problem of trying to 6L an item. The way it used to work is that if you applied a fusing to a 6L it would reroll the links. It is far better now, not to have to stare after each application of a fusing to nullify the horrible not fun counter productive idea, "If you dont pay attention, you get punished."

This great GGG improvement really speeds up fusing items and makes it far more pleasant of an experience.

Although if there actually are people that enjoy the old way perhaps GGG could make it an option? /sarcasm

Would be nice, but I reckon it'll be a nightmare to implement. Given the vast no. of affixes of multiple tiers that can spawn, it'll have to match the current affixes on the item with every affix in that pool with each roll. I'm not a programmer, so just speculating.

The ability to type in the affix in the stash tab and having it highlight when it hits is already pretty convenient imo.
I feel like this is one step away from an auto spam alts feature. Is that good or bad?

Clearly they don't agree with your philiosphy. If you try and enchant over something with an enchant, you get a warning. IF you try and jeweler spam over a 6 socket item, it won't let you. If you try and fuse over a 6-link, it won't let you. If you try and sell/trade an item with a gem, it warns you. IF you try and sell/trade an item with an incubator, it warns you. You gain nothing by having an elitist mindset. It's such a simple thing to add and only helps everyone expect those already using the available 3rd party tools that do the same thing for you.
i don't see this ever happening. it's called slow down and pay attention. i rolled over tailwind with 35% increased movement on boots a few times. if they changed that, then everyone could self craft to roll the needed mods. GGG and the elite crafters would NEVER allow that
poe is going down fast. Diablo 4 and Baldur's Gate 3 have no performance issues. play them instead
