My steam got hijacked Locked out the hacker lol

Friend lets me know hacker logs into my path of exile account.

I instantly unhook steam from path of exile, Thank you guys for that stuff saved my but big time.

The hacker was in process to trade items on my character Iceicegoblincake

so I told my friend to tell him you better be quick and instantly unhooked steam
to see him go offline LOL,

Well I'm here basically waiting for a steam response and delivered the nessery information. But I wanted to let you guys know Whoever my char iceicegoblincake trades ban that low life wanted to post this since this just happened at 0:52 +1gmt

Well I got locked out of my account I cant see the private msg.

I send a email to support.

But it might get a bit confucing now so bear with me.

He logged in true my steam account.

So I logged into my path of exile not true steam.

I changed the password and email that was me.

I also just send a email from the registerd email to confirm.

K update. I went true a 1 and a half-hour process of giving information.
to get told that they cant help login into steam and get us info.

I'm 100% sure I paid with the details I provided.

To make a long story short and not to be rude but there's no way for you guys to retrieve payment information done true steam with my bank card?
so no way to verify if I'm the owner?

I'm posting here cos there doesn't seem to be a channel for people that are duped by hacked steam accounts, it's totally my own fold. that's but thats beside the point.

I'm at the point where they ask me to provide steam information wich I cant obtain cos its hacked my steam connection with path of exile is already dissolved

What do I do? Are you guys saying whenever a steam account gets hacked and maybe not even retrieved your path of exile account is gone forever?



My account already got robbed empty i can call out distinct things in my stash tab what maps what mods how they sorted, Its not a question if I'm the owner anyone putting in this much work for some maps would be insane.

It got hacked. They change the email.

I go to steam ask help with a stolen steam account.

They ask for a email and like a little lamb you obey and put in the email.

But hey the email is not the same anymore so steam says hey no account lal ?


So you try to find the best next thing wich is forgotten password?

and you type out a 20 min post on how your the owner and you upload all your documents the hole deal.

5 minutes later the ticket is closed.(in heinsight i found sending it from the same email is not the best idea)

Your left headscratching and ggg asking you for your steam payment information lol

its now 6:00 AM I'm starting to get dehydrated it feels like help is not coming. I'm gonna lie down in this treeline and hope I'm make tommoro.

Since your primary problem is with steam and not GGG, then you should get that fixed first.
As you clearly admit, it's your own fault to begin with.
This is the reason why you ALWAYS put 2FA on your steam account AND personal e-mail......

I agree that it's dumb not to use 2FA and it was lackluster of me not to.
But should people that are duped by a hacker in a game where there might be incentive to hack,

should they not get support? is there so many hacking cases regarding people not using 2FA that's its to time consuming?

It's not a problem with steam it's something technical like that they cant cross-reference my bank number against a purchase made from steam.
So they cant identifie me as the real owner.

If you cant get your steam account b for w/e reason then your path of exile account is gone forever is it not?

Lets not forget the global picture I'm just trying to play my game here and trying to get some support

Well it would be pretty easy for me to prove that the steam account is mine since I have ALL the original e-mail from steam when the account was created.
I also have all the e-mails from Steam for ALL the purchase I have done there.
Why don't you have these e-mails ???

Now I don't know what you wrote to Steam / what kind of information you provided but an e-mail claiming that your account was stolen without anything more would be denied.
However if you provided banking transaction proof (several) that CLEARLY shows these transactions in your name, your ID, Steam account knowlegde and so on I would that you will get a much better response.

The same goes for GGG. You are claiming that you have lost your GGG steam account because you yourself broke the link between GGG and Steam (because you were hacked and i 100% understand that part).
Again you MUST provide banking transaction detailes (screenshots from your homebanking CLEAR showing the transaction including transaction ID), bank records CLEARLY showing that the account belongs to you and the money was taken from your account, your ID, Stean account ID (the hacked one), PoE account name, 2 - 3 char name on that account, account knowlegde and then GGG can investigate this.
