Trade bots ever banned? Reporting feature exist?

I'm curious if GGG ever bans people for trade botting. This is the first league that I really ever hit the AH consistently for long periods of time buying and selling. There is this one person who I will not name publicly and said person is legit on 24/7. I have no idea if it's a main account of his that he just leaves running all night to buy the items for him but it is sure as hell annoying having to compete with a bot when you are doing everything manually/legitimately.

Is there a report function?

GGG's postition historically is that banning them is less efficient than changing their drop rates to keep them active, but not profitable. If they ban a bot account, a new account pops up within minutes.

The real way to go after bots is to stop trading with them, or with people who trade with them. That pretty much means you need to stop trade. It's the players who aren't willing to do that that feed the bots.

If i have to trade with a player who tells me "i'm in lab" or "wait 5 min , i'm in a map " or whatever reason and a trade bot who instantly tells me " bla bla bla trade , ready to go " , i should chose the player because , why ?

I'm curious how you know the person is on 24/7. Are you on 24/7 to check? Should we jump to the conclusion that you are also a bot then? :)

I'm pretty sure GGG would have that kind of info in their logs to find out who the botters are!

where you dont have the option to bid on an item, just the fixed price set by seller and then an automatic send to you when buy it.

pretty sure anybody trading thousands of stacks of currency is a bot

these people are saints, at least you get a response when you try to get stuff in bulk

Trade bots make trading marginally less painful. Definitely prefer them to players.
