OP: glad my attempt at "rationalising" what seems to be irrational to us hit the spot. Stay 'sane', Exile. Oh, and OF COURSE the non-English versions of PoE are a mess. You can't translate something from English when it doesn't even follow the basic fucking rules of English. You have to get creative (as when translating puns and wordplay) and I am willing to bet that TencentGGG, who last I checked were trying to recruit players for the task (lol), didnt exactly prioritise the localisations. Garbage in, garbage out is an old programmers-brain saying. In this case, it'd be garble in, garble out. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.
