Midgame Crafting Budget

I am interested to craft my items, 4-5 good T2-T1 rolls is enough.

How much currency per item should I invest?
(Like rolling High HP, 2 Good Resist and either Good Physical Attack/Armour)

Is it recommended that I should buy items in trade or craft it myself?

generally speaking its cheaper to buy then craft yourself now that harvest is nerfed to hell
It's always been cheaper to buy than to craft for yourself. Always. It has nothing to do with Harvest. What do you mean by "midgame"? Your later requirements are sufficient for an item you could take as far as you wanted.

All it takes is 1 chaos orb ;). It really depends on what you like to do. If you enjoy crafting, then do that. Your build requirements determine the cost of what you would need to craft or buy, so maybe price check first and then decide.

For me, I enjoy burning way too many chaos orbs to spam something that probably costs 10c to buy. It’s part of the fun

This is one of the tools you need if you want to start crafting :

Cool... But look at those Chaos Numbers XD
Crafting? I mean, u prolly joking. This is not that type of game whats have one. It have gambling instead. So you need to calculate odds and probabilities, like in every casino.

But as we already know: house is always wins.

There are some methods of improving the cost, if you have the time.

You can, for instance, use Alts and Annuls to get yourself nice T1 prefix and suffix, and then use the Harvest craft that takes magic item and regal it to rare with 3 random high tier mods. If you lucky you get some good ones, and you can fill the last spot with a bench craft.

You can also use Essence ( As there is specific essence for 32% movement speed ). Spam enough of them, and you can get some good results for boots, or high life rolls on armour.

Not much more forr mid-game crafting though. If you want to get better than that, you start going in to the realm of 2 ex a pop for keeping prefixes and reforging suffixes etc., .. Then crafts cost you 30-40 ex., but you make end game gear.

Then there is mirror tier stuff with multiple influence and crazy mods. You can see some of that here :

That statement must be untrue given that there are people who craft for profit.
Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.

You have to be able to eat the first 20 to 50 ex losses before your RNG pans out.

Like say you spend 100 ex to make an item. On the way there you make 90 worthless vendor items. 5 items worth 5 ex each, and 4 items worth 10 ex each, and one item worth 40ex (very good or perfect rolls).

So, overall you made 105ex on 100ex investment.

Profit.

But, for anyone who is not an uber-crafter, you might eat the first 40 ex and end up negative, and very likely will.

Personally I look for little niche gaps in the market. Buy the right item with 1 open prefix, craft a 1ex on it, resell for 3-5 ex profit. But when the market catches on, everyone floods it, so no profit.
