Raise skeleton lag
" So we should just say nothing about the bugs because the game is a FTP ? What makes me a little angry is not just dying, it's dying from a bug known for almost a year know. What if i just entered the zone ? casted my skeleton totem and died ? because there was hasty minions waiting for me ? Surely i could have prevented it by going on another map, making zombies and spectre before coming on this one... But is that a way to play ? do i have to fear all the time, whatever i do, that a bug will occur ? No. And so we say : sh*t happens... |

It's not because it's free to play, it's because it's open beta. They have been very open saying "there will be bugs, and the game will not run perfectly." You would have a right to be pissed if the game was released.

Same happens for me when placing a totem or a player joins the zone with a portal. 1-2sec freeze....anoying like hell, i hope there will be a fix in the very near future :(

I can't Team up with poeple cus of the INSANE amount of Lag the summon Skeleton on a totem make
And any thing that uses Spell totem for some on reason. seems to not Agree with it I turn down setting didn't help. Forced Changed the Config file to make the game Look even worse and it still happens IDK what to do now. " the particular problem this thread was addressing was a pause when casting skeletons on their own or with spell totem...that particular problem was fixed some patches ago. you seem to have a different problem. I would suspect you are on an older system but without a dxdiag i couldn't say either way. Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

I have an older computer running windows XP with 2g of ram GPU is like a 9800gtx and it has a Similar problem BUT no where close to this extent. you can still at least play the game

This issue only happens once, that is the first time skeles are summoned in a play session. This is still a on going issue. After that first initial summon it doesn't happen again unless you restart poe.
It is partly due to the game have to load the model's/shaders into play. Twitch.tv/Nithryok

I don't know if this problem was fixed or not but I've been using a totem plus summon skeletons and even after all this time I get the few seconds of lag when plopping down a totem.
The game has technically "been released" but I suppose it might be either something overlooked or perhaps there was a fix that I haven't been able to find? |

They apparently fixed this months ago by preloading the effects, i've used it since the fix and it's doesn't pause for me, leveled a necro to 55 is with no problem.
BUT...i've not tried it since the patch so i wouldn't know if its roke again or not. One thing that could also cause a problem for you Lucreto is if you maybe had the tiki totem skin on the totem used for summon skeles. Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi
