Diplomatic Escort now replaces one Harbinger with a King Harbinger instead of a group of Harbingers.

this was a huge nerf to valdo harb farming from its state in 3.13

You need to reread what the node does.. It does NOT just replace one Harbinger with a boss harbinger its a 30% chance for EACH harbinger to be a boss harbinger. Everything is the same now as in Ritual 1 Auspicious Watchstone and 3x Laden. (Possibly 3x stones with extra chance at additional Harbinger but, not been able to test that yet) Only difference if now you want to stack as many harbingers per map as possible so each one has that 30% chance to be the good one. And those boss harbingers still drop absolutely insane currency.

Without the watchstones ive dropped an Exalt worth of Shards in a single map. Just Sextant+Scarab+Infused Harbinger. Theres a just a ton more RNG involved is the only difference since you can run one stacked map and only get 1 Boss or run a stacked map and get 5-7... Regardless its still one of the best raw currency farms in the game once you set it up and can invest in it.

OP is either not being honest about running 50 maps worth, not juicing the maps he's running, or exaggerating on his returns because like i said even without the proper watchstones each boss is dropping 1 to multiple ex shards each not counting other valuable shards like Ancient Shards.

I'm really serious, I can do 10 harbinger king in row and don't get any exalt shard. I'm really trying to understand what's wrong.

Maybe follow Ultimatum guides? In ritual indeed, farming Valdo's harbingers and Haewark Hamlet harvests were a thing, but got nerfed to the ground in the meantime.

Now probably your best bet is playing the league mechanic, Valdo's Jun missions and Grand Heists.

Sextant is probably one of the most important of everything invested. You always want Harbinger Sextant because that's always a 100% guaranteed Harbinger with the boss (That also feels quite weighted for the best currency returns 5 out of 6 of my Mirror Shards from last league come from the Harbinger Sextant on the boss) as well as Nemesis Sextant combined. Harbingers pre and post nerf always spawned a metric fuck ton of Rares on the big pack/boss pack which is a ton of extra currency all alone without the watchstones. The only thing missing this league is Beyond Zana Mod but, if you want to go the extra mile rolling it on your map is always a nice bonus but, make sure Nemesis Rares is rolled on the map at all costs with these two sextants. Prerolling a bunch of maps at a time is always going to be the best method since no matter how you go about it its going to be an investment. 4 Sextant use per map is also going to be required for this method as well.

Outside of all this I'm having an extremely hard time believing you are not seeing Ex Shards from the boss Harbinger alone in almost every single map considering it's a very rare occurrence I dont see at least 1+++ Ex Shards per Boss Pack without stones... Let alone in my testing since giving up on the league with the proper stones in STD... But, sextants and scarabs combined with infused zana mod make all the difference especially with hyper juice T16 Necro's with 8 mods or UNID with that UNID sextant as a 3rd or Canyons run with Delirium Sextant.

Your also not getting 10 Boss Harbingers in a single map without some absolutely insane good RNG considering even with Infused+Sextant+Winged Scarab you cap out at 13 Harbingers Total in the entire map so getting 10:13 is like winning the lottery.. Let alone with just Gilded Sextant which would be 10:10 meaning you hit 30% 10 times in a row and this why im questioning your feedback in the first place... Something doesn't add up.

GGG come to a conclusion when player have profit, or worse when have satisfaction, this must be stoped. They living in some other world, they want players to play game, but forcing them to leave. I supose they belive when player's have good loot, good OP items or worse - satisfaction from playing game or OP item what craft, they "win game", leave and uninstal it. I supose they belive when player have no drop, or rolling item in infinity to get what he want, don't get discouraged, but get motivation to do it over and over in best way in infinity. One of resson why exalted orb have hard poll to add good tier mod, from self experiences know if you wanna spent 5ex on item, better drop it, because removing this mods can by more expensive than 5ex. They make character class dediced for some special weapon or skills, and no see problem when shadow (show with daggers in chose screan) make 20x more damage with bow than class dediced for bow like ranger. They don't see problem what logic reson for exist class character now? They see problem in skill gem, and nerf it... Logic? GGG have own.
