Dear PoE Content Creators & Build builder / writer...

... I want to thank you all for your hard work developing all those fancy PoE Builds out there. Sooo many good guides on Youtube, Forums and Third Party Websites. All those nice cutted "Build Showcase Videos" and well organised Path of Building Import Links with Leveling Skill Trees, Budget and Endgame Gear Options and Notes almost noone ever reads... :P

But ... I have a wish.

Can you - everyone developing and publishing Builds and Build Guides - please add a screenshot of your ingame tooltip DPS while casting nothing besides your auras?

I really like to see that your build is able to do 20mil shaper dps. But I want a value I can compare without opening PoB, importing my Skill Tree, Gear and open another Instance of PoB to just copy your configuration.

Thank you in advance!

;)

Penetration, exposure, "increased damage taken", barrage additional projectiles, etc. calculations are not performed on tooltip DPS. Assassin's more damage when one unique enemy nearby, Yoke of Suffering and Elemental Hit's more damage per ailment on enemy, Slayer's more damage against unique enemies, all these aren't calculated by the tooltip. You are missing out on the true potential of the build if you don't import to PoB.

I don't say "Do not include a PoB" ... I say "Add a Tooltip Screenshot". Sure - I get ur point. But I just ask for a quick comparable value - if I wanna go in depth I - sure - go for the PoB. But if my Siege Ballista Tooltip DPS is like 50k and the PoB says 4mil - this is not comparable without importing stuff and setting up the configuration. But a tooltip dps value is. Not for a builds full potential - sure ... but as a comparable base value...

I hear what you're saying, but, depending on the build, tooltip dps can be useless or even misleading.

The only thing it's vaguely useful for is to compare, say, 2 pieces of equipment. "Does my tooltip go up when I use this weapon vs my old one?".

Some builds dont even show tooltip dmg to begin with :D

Maybe you guys don't get it, or maybe I don't get it, but the point is to be able to see how close you are getting to the guide's dps without having to navigate a bunch of extra stuff. Compare town tooltips to know if you've got the right baseline, then worry about stuff like skitterbots and bottled faith later.

You can go on and on about how all those checkboxes matter to real dps, and you're right, but I can see the value/utility in just that simple checkpoint of comparison.
I can see how this would be useful, OP is basically asking for ratios like yeah they are going to be inaccurate but its a reasonable guide.

It'd probably get abused by people not using it correctly but eh, what isn't. If I have to hear one more person abusing EHP like they just want to be like the cool kids ima table flip!

/s obviously i've already seen 2 threads today :p
Actually people quit and new people join ....

openarl stop to develop POB but now it has fork

Also Science stop to update his wand build guide but at least there are other thread floating around

And POE wiki admin omegaK2 posted a msg to say the datamining tool is not in development too so that POE wiki will just lag behind POEDB for a while
