You may actually be right, I don't watch his stream.

But I think we just disagree on fundamental principles here. You are saying that if a player finds a way to play a game that's more efficient than the developer think is okay, then it's okay to ban him.

Whereas I would say Path of Exile is a game that revolves around figuring out creative new optimal strategies, and players are doing things the developers never intended constantly, every league, every day. So how can you give me a well-defined distinction between "exploit" and "creative strategy the developer didn't think of" that doesn't rely on the player having mind-reading capabilities?

As far as I can tell, the definition of "exploit" is "doing something the game developer would be angry about you doing if they knew about it", which involves way too many layers of guessing and subjective judgment to be basis for a ban, in my opinion.

What would be wrong with rolling back those who engaged in this behavior that developers deemed unacceptable, announcing that it was not allowed, and then banning anyone who did it *after* making it clear that it was not allowed?

Nothing would be wrong with the proper implementation of a gradual system that would ensure EXPLOITS are ANNOUNCED FOR ALL THE PLAYERS (they can "plague" the chat with the damn "stash tab sale" or "new gambling box launch" yet they can't highlight that EXPLOIT is an actual BAN SANCTIONED ACTION??? PLEASE...) and then dropping the revert items WARNING, culminated with a temporary/permanent BAN...

Sadly, this has too much sense to EVER be implemented in POE...

Nice achievement, though you and your brother should consider to stop over-exhausting yourselves in the future, as you can manage doubling the time played towards that 100 level goal in a couple more days while also enjoying yourselves more...

I know it sounds weird, but to me, pushing myself to insane challenges is a very positive experience. I'm not sure "enjoy" is the exact word I would use, but "satisfying" and "rewarding" definitely apply. Being in the zone of pure focus, pushing towards a goal (whatever it may be) is a state of mind that I cherish greatly.

I appreciate the concern of you and others who have said we should sleep more and make sure to stay healthy :)

It's about you feeling entitled to write lengthy, overly dramatic essays about something that is done each and every league by countless players.

What is with 100lvl achievement when you can do rota beachheads and breachstones nowadays like a squirrel in a wheel? Pfff.

I still think getting to 100 is an achievement have you tried? Obviously rotas made it faster but i got to 99 last league and just couldn't take it. The mind numbing drudgery required its awful. Anyone that actually does it simultaneously has great willpower and likely a psychological issue :p
