" I get what you're saying but if you know what the exploit was you know you had to play abnormally to do it. Like if you did what they did and your conscience wasn't screaming at you I wouldn't know what to tell you. That's the easy difference between 'content released too rewarding' and 'exploit' - am I playing this as intended. And again, without getting into the details of the exploit, duh. Obviously not the intended play pattern. For someone with 'immoral' in their name I don't know why you're playing coy about this. |

Wow, didn't expect bans tbh. I'm glad it got fixed with the loot/xp cap (pretty fast too! Cheers for that GGG) and I'm not sure of the impact of this had it not been shown. I mean, next time they might learn of it but not show it and in that sense the impact will be bigger.
Well I do appreciate a firm stance. Mostly it's the fast fix I think is well done. Did you try turning it off and on again?

The ban part is scary to me. This is kinda unprecedented. Suddenly GGG is going down the blizz rout where on a whim they will deem something bannable and you will get hit with a banhammer. What about infinite delve farming? What about looting heists without triggering alarms? What about mirroring maps trough beats? What about mirroring heists trough beats? What about mirroring rare bases trough beats? What about multibox farming beasts? What about the rolling back sextants? What about 7 mod rings? What about swapping which mods are fractured on items? What about the shaper/elder ring? What about sextant locking?

Can someone clearly point which one of these are exploiting and which ones are clever use of game mechanics? Because i don't think anyone can anymore. The bans were definitely not justified, especially since this was not the first case of infinitely spawning mobs iirc. This game so far was about pushing what was possible. But in the history of PoE we had waaaaaaay worse "exploits" or clever use of game mechanics, and noone got banned for it ever. Hell some of it got even embraced for leagues. GGG is turning into blizzard at a scary pace in the last few years. |

Then talking about offloading the currency onto Alts incase they get banned ? They 100% knew what they were doing. So much loot that if they went to Wave 4-5 if would Crash the Zone/Clients even on a very strict filter.... All that Mass exploited Currency is still most likely on Alts killing the Economy for rest of the League. But hey.. a **TEMP BAN** will change things. Did you see last leagues alvas, group players getting severall HHs per map? Same shit as ultimatum, except faster since you could rush trough the zone and didnt have to dance around for severall minutes. I fail to see how they would be faster with this compared to well minmaxing for any other league mechanic, and in the end there will always be a best optimal way to group farm obscene ammounts of currency. Now, im saying that the community is really pissy at them, rightfully so because of the comments they made but also because for some reason if other people make more currency reddit and the forums get really salty about it. But looking at it with reason, its GGGs mistake. We had plenty of these mistakes in the past. And they have been exploited in the past some of them for years, i listed only a fragment of the exploits that i remembered off the cuff, and never were there any bans. For example, how does this compare to infinite delve darkness farming? You needed 1 azurize node, and you could darkness farm for days. Pretty much infinite currency and definitely not intended to be played that way. You had to go out of your way to create a no life char, with basically invisibility, and insane speed. And noone got banned for it, and it was embraced for severall leagues as the go to delve farming method. The only thing different this time around, is that the community got pissed off at [Removed by Support] and GGG, and then [Removed by Support] pissed off GGG by pouring oil on the fire that was a burning bag filled with dog poo.
