Streamer priority confirmed. PoE is free to play, so play it for free, but Boycott GGG.

I have not been told I will be banned just for posting here. I have, however, accrued enough probations, edits, and warnings that permanent probation is a possibility if infractions continue.

GGG are less clear about what exactly constitutes an infraction so I'm erring on the side of caution here. No more scatological metaphors. No more adjectives aplied to other players that might be construed as antagonistic, ie any adjective at all.

Most importantly, the number one way I have seen regular posters get a permanent probation is when they are simply too much work to be worth the effort of essentially monitoring constantly. I have no doubt that if I am to receive what is basically a forum ban, it will be over that. This thread by its very nature needs to be monitored. That much is quite clear now.

But no. I have not been told I will be banned just for posting in this thread. Possibly for aggressively bumping it but I am not doing that either...I don't have to, which is probably also part of the problem.

None of what I have said here breaches any sort of confidentiality, and I am sharing it in the spirit of clarity and fairness.

And it's all I will say on the matter as it is seriously off the topic. But it is important that the truth be known if someone asks. THAT much is not off topic here.

There are tens of thousands of people watching streams at league start & everyone streams themselves in the queue, why has nobody ever said "OMG I was watching streamer SunlightDodger69 streaming league start and suddenly they jumped from position X and got straight into the game!!!". People noticed it happening this league, why didn't they notice it if it happened in past leagues?

This would have been pre-2.0. Maybe 1.4? It was a long time ago. And I promise you, it happened. You were frozen on the beach watching people complete things. The league was not scheduled to start for like 10-15 minutes and people were progressing.

Again, I didn’t care. I know I’m not competitive like that. But it absolutely was happening.

Pressure bursts pipes.....eventually people will reach their boiling point with GGG's actions towards the players that devote their time to playing their game. Even though I don't watch streamers, I support this thread 100%. Simply because from day 1 of PoE, GGG has always set the illusion that all players will be treated equal, game won't be treated as a cash grab and no P2P will be allowed.

This illusion and many others regarding game play, rules, etc have been proven to be false by many players throughout the years and as a result there's no "trust" or "loyalty" from the players; though neither of which is a priority to GGG unless it has a monetary value. Pay 2 Play at this point is VERY debatable and for another thread though I see the argument clearly with stash tabs (I personally try to get by with 4 default tabs but have to use mule chars).

If it's not making money then it doesn't matter, so yeah OP is spot on with this post. Look at how far the game has strayed from how it was presented; it's sad.

But I have to tell ya, in all those years of PoE, watching all the streamers play with their friends and loved ones while I was on the 1234124335 th position in the queue really hit a sensitive spot.

I don't imagine it'd be difficult to keep this proclamation and its ongoing discussion visible. Obvious reasons aside, the only issue I see would be something *worse* on GGG's behalf overtaking the conversation...in which case, the I Told You So from every single person agreeing with this thread would be ironically hard to miss.

And no. I don't want that to happen. It wouldn't change my mind; it'd make even more Exiles unhappy. There's no pyrrhic victory in that. Just more loss.

That said, Exiles have shown a tendency to overreact (YT most def included there) so it's possible a 'lesser' issue might dominate the front page...but I do believe certain filters kick in before long.

Drop rates, skill nerfs, and other 'personal experience' changes are intrinsic to PoE's design; posts about those will come and go.

Streamers given blatant and open unfair priority over less 'lucrative' players is not intrinsic to PoE's design. It is, it seems, intrinsic to GGG's business model post-Tencent acquisition; posts about that should never have had to come and, as long as the truth is welcome here, will not go. I certainly have not the energy or heart to do another -- so this one has to last.

Im still curious about what they are planning to do with the "community mtx" polls that got rigged, essentially ruining the community event for like 10k other individuals who thought their vote meant something.

It's part of the game, so to speak. The most they can do is not waste time on another one. It was silly and pointless. The sort of thing the old GGG would have pulled off, before the compromise.
