Meh... used to that.

What do you expect? Ultimatum is not like Ritual that they expect you to complete every encounter. Just like the Dev said, they design Ultimatum where at some point within 10 waves, the player has to decide if the wave is already getting dangerous for them, tap out & take the rewards, or continue & risk it all.

I expect, for few days, the forum will be filled with posts about how they die or lose a valuable reward because they're greedy & bite more than they can chew, or they failed because the game crash on them.
