An Honest POE Player

I was talking to a friend earlier today. Here's a paraphrase:

Him: Do you have any Stone of Lazhwar amulets?

( I thought he wanted to buy one )

Me: Probably
Him: There are two different kinds

( I was thiking that lots of items have two kinds )

Him: They look different

( Now I was wondering what he was getting at )

Him: I had one for sale for 1C. Someone bought it and put 20 EX in the trade window.

( Now I was starting to guess what it was )

Me: Was it alternate art?
Him: No idea
Me: Did it look like this? (I showed one in chat )
Him: Yea that's it

I went on to explain race rewards and alternate art items. He didn't know what it was or how he got it.

But somebody else knew what it was and voluntarily paid 20 EX instead of taking it for the 1C price.

maybe i'm looking at the wrong thing but 20 ex is way too cheap for that,so not so honest afterall

I wonder if they actually sell for that much. The last I checked, which has been a while, 20 ex seemed reasonable. Maybe there just aren't many sellers any more.

But still, the guy could have taken it for 1C.

A general alt art search shows lower prices. They could be price fixers though.

As a Utilitarian Exile 1C and especially 20ex is overpriced for that. Never understood the alt art folks.

I think it's one of those stupid things ppl do to feel special like lvling to 100 when it's boring AF....whatever...to each his own.

Personally I'd like changes to wrist health like stop dropping garbage like that i have to pick up and ID. Thank god for neversink uber strict.

It's alternate art for it. And you only could get it during a race event back in the day

When we had full race season, the alternate art items were given as rewards for reaching certain thresholds in points. They are the same item, but with different artwork. Racing was the only way to get them. Now they are collectable.

This logic doesn't work because that means that every sort of interaction you have which involves personal gain will make you a dishonest individual as you will not always declare how much can be squeezed out of you.

If your employer pays you $10 per hour, you will not declare that you can be paid $8 per hour as well.

I think paying at 50% of the original price is very honest for someone who asked for 0.1%.

Cant put a price on art, and the value of that art is held by the buyer.

Case in point; Banksy pieces.
