I'm a fan of PvP but if it's truly underrated why would both ActiBlizz and GGGcent pass on the opportunity to give the people what they want?

That's not necessarily true. I don't play PoE anymore, and I will never play PoE again, and still I care about how people view the game and GGG, because I want PoE and GGG to succeed not just financially but as something worthy of that vision and legacy. Something Chris and co can be proud of. And, from a purely selfish point of view, I want PoE to be so successful that GGG will finally have the resources and inclination to make a new game proving PoE wasn't a fluke. A hope dashed since ExileCon and already battered about for years but still...I hope.

While the vast number of 'quit' threads have an obvious agenda and 'no one cares if you quit' is a tried and true mantra regardless of who you are, I don't think we need to create a dichotomy where one doesn't exist.

OTOH The OP 'started it' in that regard by creating a dichotomy that definitely doesn't exist: other ARPGs' success does not in any way translate into this one's demise. There was room in the universe for PoE and D3, and for PoE and Grim Dawn. There will certainly be room for PoE, Last Epoch, Wolcen, Diablo 2 Resurrected, Diablo 4...maybe even Cyberpunk 2077. Anyone who has played PoE enough to really know what it is should know this: PoE provides a certain combination of gaming experiences that no other ARPG has before, or likely ever will again. It is, to trot out the tired as hell metaphor one more time, its own drug. Users aren't going to switch to a different one just because it's different. Hell, they're not going to switch even if it's all but objectively better.

Too little, too late... don,t care. WE're done gambling our lives away whan we can actually enjoy evolving in our characters.

GGG benefited and incredible woid in the genre. And helped spur the resurgence.

i absolutely love diablo 2 but modern blizzard is wack. adhd abominations arent going to stay for it very long and i'm sure GGG will have a launch date around the same time.

For some reason, ppl who quit or want to quit, they think that everybody else wants to quit too.. Well I’m hyped for D2 res and I also like Last epoch, I’m also waiting for lost arc.. But will that stop me to play PoE, probably not. I like to come back every new league to do few characters. Maybe just one or two maybe four or fife depends on how much fun t league is. Than I’ll go play different game to have fun with different game. So, what ever game you going to play have fun to play it and if u have that itch u need to scratch and no other game gives it to u just come back for a few hrs and u’ll c why PoE is PoE ;)

Is see LE's crafting as a placeholder as in the current state it literally is an itemeditor where you get all desired affixes with almost no risk and no rng.

I wouldn't say it is no risk. Many times my item gets fractured at 80%. You really need to be LUCKY and like to GAMBLE to get tier 5s everywhere.
