Tanky noob builds for ultimatum?

Looking for a good league starter for Ultimatum. Something tanky and noob friendly.

I like cyclone, but it's slow unless you have a lot of currency.

I like bleed bow, but ultimatum seems to rely on being right in there with the enemy.

Maybe some kind of cyclone CoC build?

My main focus would be Ultimatum and red tier maps. I never make it to end game, so not worried about that.

some managuardian stuff probably.
i see the classic cold dot vortex archetype in a decent spot for the league as well

Good old reliable EQ Jug? Is not the highest DPS of the game, but is fairly sturdy and can get you going till you find a build you like?

Lacerate Glad is good and tanky, will be my starter.

This is a excellent suggestion.

Easy on gear requirements (can be done in ssf, so cheap in trade)
Max block feels tanky 75% of the time even if you forget to add any other layer of defense (relatively noob friendly)
Will get you into late yellow or early red maps with minimal investment (good starter)
Warcry and slam is a fun and engaging playstyle (personal opinion)

Note
Physical damage and bleed suffer badly when boss has high physical resist.
If not geared well it will be slow AF

Gladiator bleed is the easiest I think.

Was doing T16 and AL8/9 Sirus with bad, self-found gear.

Ultimatum sucks, poe died with harvest nerfs cause ggg cant cope with evolution.
