The different roles of our 82 heads on 268 legs and tactical offences are well balanced out in 5 divisions of pricking, biting, piercing, shielding and stumbling force:


Commander Short Legs:
the herald of agony is our boss-assasin-sniper and offers 3-10 millions- shaper - damage solo. Artillerie and Center of damage. 6 legs.


Pioniers: 20 spiders. We will not gloss over, sorry for our other beloved brothers, but the tiny 8 legged ones spiders have a considered AI and are so inquisitive about mobs and maps, that they run highspeed in each corner to clean up with all dynamic productivity. 2 mill. shaper-damage. The Cavalry of final frontiers.


Air Force 11: This swarm of flying spirits & shadows are our kings of the winds. They will sum up on 1.1 millions shaper-damage. Best for mapping, but sometimes hard to substain and fast killed in some bossing's aoe's.


Pack of Beauty: 6 Zombies enhances us in our full attractiveness and support us in our other aesthetical problems and questions.


Cannon fodder: 7 skeletons are sacrificed as triggered meat shield. Sorry for our undead friends. RIP. They are fast and ranged raised triggered with cast when stunned or cast when damage taken. 0 damage.


Reserve: 37 vaal skeletons overrun your enemies and their bosses. When you have supportskills like "bodyguards" on a cluster, they knockback them out of the screen. More layers of meat- and boneshield, damage 0.


Challenge 100:

Try to fit in your build on top dominating blow with faster attacks for 13 added warriors and word of the graves as gloves enchant for some counting skulls more.

An arachnophil army of 100 on 268 + 26 = 294 legs is reachable!

The Arachnophil 100 are using a special combination of the managuardiansetup, gear like the helmet memory vault and shield aegis aurora, and their ascendancies like Radiant Faith. The managuardian transforms with auras reserved mana into energyshield and armour. 160% increased global defences (passives and skin of the lords) multiplies this 5.5 k with the aura determination and triples with grace and synergyzes wonderful intensive with the keynote iron reflexes in one team. Then these five components begin to quadruple impressive and lift off total to: 90 % physical damagereduction, 130000 maxgeared armour, 8-10k es and a new top substain of 2600 ES/ on max 75% block and 72% spellblock. You have in a optimal build only 4 open bottle slots (1 is reserved for writhing jars).

On maps with the No-Mana-Recovery-Mod you have to take in an enduring-mana bottle and must map slow.

Blight maps are sometimes difficult.

In A8 heavy ground damage can still kill you (exception is our immunity to burning ground).

You have to take passive tree points instead the clusters before you are full geared in endgame.

When you take the tanky nodes only 4 - 8 millions singletarget shaper-dps. That is more than enough for all bosses. You will rush through the maps with your 95% added movement and 160 mill. mapping-damage. You have no downtimes of your damage because you are tank and you have both melee and ranged DD's. But sorry, you don't oneshot Maven and Shaper and need some seconds more for shaper.
(But don't forget: with the standard-attack of the scorpiontail with 4-6 projectiles and piercesupport you have in high density areas like rituals, delves, blights, deliriums up to around 18 mill. total damage on mobs, and counting the pierced targets in even up to 160 mill. and more.)

Expensive when you max your bodyarmour, watcher's eye, helmet-enchant, jewels and flasks.
High prizes are often leaguestart prizes. Ongoing in league they will change. Support and demand changes through the first weeks much in trade.

Your mappingspeed will be impressing fast as a manamasssummoner, but for further scaling up your damage you have to change 5 skills and one ring to the twinbuild "The Agonyca Arachnophobia Allstars" with less than half the army of only 32 minions.

Because this build died too often in physical damage, I fitted in a brass dome armour for more armour and physical damage reduction, the aura grace for hybrid defences, and a conversion of damage taken to chaos damage with a timeless jewel which was hard nerfed one league later. I started to like the combinations of different layers of defences and to put together str- and dex- concepts of defences.

Of course I loved the minionstyle too because of the fast action of the swarm on the screen and because you can loot earlier while the mobs are dying around you, hehe.

In leage 3.12 I exiled over to the guardian-ascendany and I loved enthusiastic the heralds skills because you yourself target individually the enemies without signal prey and guid your heralds through the fights and the incredible possible tankyness in defences.

Vatinas HoP build offered so much fun starting into the heraldrys. But cycloning and whirling were not longtime my prefered attack- and playstyle, so I changed to the Herald of Agony, which is best raised with fast ball-lightnings.

Working on a long build about the Agonyca Arachnophobia Allstars with a lot of fun in the last months I also mapped often with summon phantasms-support and discussed them also in some threads.

The synergies with Herald of Agony were to offering too much dps, were too strong, too consequent and too attracting.

This PoB is for the recommended most defensive build with 5 million shaper-dps. For more damage with different auras, debuffs, curses and virulences up to possible 7 / 8 / 11/ 21 million damage scroll deep down to "Index of offensives" for dps with virulences and medium clusters (recommended) and to "Make Hatred, not Grace" for 21 mill. dps with auras and gemlvls (when you are full levelled).
Mapping, not single-target damage is around 14-18 in the recommended defensive edition and with all supports up to 160 / 240 mill. damage.

On all dps-calculations first the singletarget shaper-dps is stated and showed. Everytime other scaled mapping-damages are only mentioned after the first written shaper-dps.

----- Because almost all builds stats and notes their aoe damage, cooldown-skills-damage, are counting in chaining damage and multiple click-damage, mapping-damage (like maxed impales of steelskills, cooldown buffs) and full charged skills, maxed not permament supportbuffs, never obtained or possesed 100-mirrors gear as their normal setup-configuration, critical hits peakdamage, and a lot other not alltime-up, not permament standard-attack-damage, I decided also to not only mention alone the singletarget shaper-dps in the spoilers and added further factors about the total damage. -----

Configurations PoB:
Add 50/55/60 virulences, 15 withers, the tail-attack of the crawler, # of nearby allies/ Number of spiders 20, curses and eventual poison stacks to get the correct dps. Add enemy is: Unnerved, intimidated (ascendancys), ignited (raze and pillage), bleeding (vulnerability), moving (knockback). minions are on full life, spirit offering enabled, vulnerability, other curses: sniper's mark enabled, small 5% shock (ball-lightning + 10% shock-chance passive tree)
20 Spiders will have 1.4 to 2.2 millions, herald of agony 3.6 (up to 9 mill with hatred, generosity, ee, 55 virulences) millions shaper dps.

For even better configuration and calculation add the missing bleeding stackings (vulnerability), poison stackings (20 spiders), 10 % increased damage taken of consentrated ground bottled faith, raised crit (bottled faith, frost shield), eventually add impaledamage x 5 (rotten claws 10% HoA triggered 20x 1.5 ats spiders: 5 impales are easy triggered in 0.15 to 0.5 second).

For valuable comparing shaper-damage it is recommended to change melee-splash on dagger and pierce on body armour for mapping-damage to melee damage support and faster attacks/ maim/ vile toxins and second curse into sniper's mark for shaper-damage which results into circa 1.5 millions spider + 4.2 millions herald of agony damage. (1.7 millions spiders with second large cluster and no Hibernator and 4.5 mill. HoA damage)

While mapping for not-singletarget damage add the multiplications of 4 projectiles of the scorpion (with helmet enchant: 6 projectiles) plus 4x piercing the targets with pierce support.

Pioniers and Cavalry - how to saddle the spiders for a ride

Frost Blink




We have to raise our spiders. We want to do this in every situation. In some boss fights or delving balllightning alone is difficult to target the worms of writhing jar, when you cannot concentrate on them. So we take desecrate on the second (right) mouse button. Push it two times. Open your writhing Jar – bottle or both bottles. Then last, in the moment your worm lift off and is flying into the air, push instant your Frostblink. I personally placed it on the middle mouse-wheel. This works best.

So: 2 x right mouse button, flasks, middle mouse button. It is fast, but easy.

But for different gamers different keys work best! Choose it for your prefered style!

You can switch to different instant or very fast aoe-skill to get this result. Ice Nova, Shock Nova, Orb of storms are variants.




Also ball-lightning, divine ire and for melees cyclone are good fitting skills to raise the spiders shooting the worms. It is very fast and it. You can also try to use desecrate to raise the spiders. When you are fast clicking with it, you do not need frostblink. But when your zombies, crawler, heist members, allies or Einhar are often killing the worms before you, frostblink works better with it's instant aoe in combats.




This shield is the fixing point of substain: fullgeared you'll get 2800 ES on 75% block and 75 % spellblock. This can work 10x and more unlimited each second or unlimited more often, and heals you also freezed, stunned, etc.

Shield: Determination skill on shield granted or switch in skillgem Determination - Desecrate - (Divergent) Frostblink- (Divergent) Clarity

You have to search poetrade for shield aegis aurora with:
" 'implicit' grants # lvl skill determination ". It is not easy to find. Other skills on corrupted gear which make it possible to get one more skill free without using a gemslot are good too. Or you can harvestcraft or corrupt the shield yourself.



Important: When you don't find a Determination-Corruption or other skills on gear, push out frost wall or increased duration and put in a skillgem Determination.
14 ways to free up a skill socket are shown in the spoiler "Socket- and Skills-Management" below.
The Armour is most important for ES on block and ES and pdr.



Clarity is only necessary when you use a Watcher Eye with the Increased Energy Shield while affected by Clarity- Mod. When you have a watcher's eye without clarity, use this socket for other skills. You have enough manaregeneration without clarity.




3 green, 2 blue, 1 red:



Herald of Agony | Summon Phantasms support | Awakened Minion Damage | Pierce | Empower | Vile Toxins

This setup has great synergies in all supports. When you take in sniper's mark it get op and top ranking damage, it's a build on its own best balanced for high density content of poe.


All Gems have to be corrupted! Herald of Agony Lvl 21 is very nice for damage, Summon Phantasms Lvl 21 to get a complete soccer team of 11 phantasms, and a max empower gem lvl 4 is a peak of damage again for all our creatures.

This is the best balanced combination of supports.

Also 4 or 5 correct socket colours are enough with 95% - 108% damage, you need only perhaps a bit more mana or loose 5% damage: Scroll deep down to "the strategy of damage" to take a look for all other socket - colours.

This alone get a lot of millions of damage. It scales heavy with skill-gem-level-increasement and virulence stacks.

Best balanced 6 skills are:



Herald of Agony | Summon Phantasmas support | Awakened Minion Damage | Empower | Vile toxins |

You want always Herald of Agony, then empower (max lvl 4), pierce, damage on full life, (all for their optimal relations of damage with their mana reserved) but then you can play a lot with it's supports and when you have more mana capacity, there are much more worthfull combinations:

Maim supports and buffs also the 50% physical damage of the spiders very well.

Phantasms support is best with 3 green, 2 blue, 1 red (take a look in "Harry Potter Senior":

Sometimes you get a white-socketed skin of loyals cheap in trade to try a lot of different gemcolour-combinations.

Faster attacks and minion speed offers not much because the HoA gets a lot attackspeed of his virulences.

Predator is recommended instead of Awakened Minion Damage for singletarget bosshuntings like shaper or sirus when you want to get a bit more damage.

Added fire damage (red, 120% mr) with the ignites of raze and pillage, perhaps together with 3 passive points to Elemental Equilirium, is not a bad possibility for another red socket.

Impale support (green, 130 mr): the not damageless impales of the HoA are very fast and fine trigerred in singletarget situations from the 20 spiders and can be stacked with "rotten claws" on large clusters.

Hypothermia support (green, 120 %) is great when you have a way to reliable chill - with hatred, frost bomb and other frost skills or "Chilling Presence" on a cluster. The Anomalous Hypothermia offers an increased chance to freeze.

Take the trinity of auras. Then upgrade to the quadrophony of the Lords

- our keynote and tipping point of substain and defenses -

Determination and Grace will take you together with Iron Reflexes to 1, to 40, ... no, to 140000 armour.
Not 14000. Yes 140000.

This means you get 2800 Energyshield on all your blockings with the Aegis Aurora-Shield and block is never limited. It's like drinking every second some life flasks. This perfectly synergize with our guardian-ascendancy plus our 100% increased global defences (armour, evasion, energyshield) of the Skin of Lord and 20% increased auras of the cluster-notable stalwaart-commander and a lot of the passive-skill-tree too.

For physical damage reductions 140000 AR works, thumbed, well for hit-reductions of 14000 without the known dimishing returns of armour pdr on big hits.

Also lags, extreme lags and disconnects will fail to kill you. Your big block works also with oneshotting hardware, deadly networks and freezing servers - and other stuns and elemental ailments. With Discipline and 9500 Energyshield this huge Es- recovery and regeneration will automatically trigger with cast-on-stun frost shield for another 4000 Energyshield – that is like one (by our build three, four and five) more guardian-skills, it's a security-back-up to the skillcooldown of our 10000 points damagereduction of molten shell. Yes, this is often stronger than the fortify-support for melees (from 30 % up to 60% damagereduction and additional chill-effect). You end by a base of around 8000 Es (more than enough against oneshots) plus 10000 reduction of molten shell and plusplus 4000 points every second reduction of frostshield.

Explanation high vs medium Armour

When the minotaur crits it is about 50% less total physical damage taken than other HoP guardian builds because of the mechanics and dimishing returns of armour, and in maps with double or tripple damage modifications these differences in less damage taken will raise much higher.

Our ascendancy and gear is fitting ideal for getting this optimal top physical damagereduction and substain with top high energyshield on block.





Another attracting tanky way is Phase Acrobatics as keynote - then your skin of the Lords will add a lot of 30% spelldodge. You get another 52 % evasion without iron reflexes, too. Combined with your and your minion's blindings you reach 76% EV. That is very, very fine tankstyle combined with your dodges and blockings. This raises the capacities of damage taken 10000 dr molten shell and 4000 dr frost shield practical to 35000 / 42000 dr in damagepeaks and reduces some microstuns and -chills. But your armour and your ES on block will move down to 55000AR/1100 ES-on-block. No problem, but the 1: 100000000 risk of getting 5, 6 big critical spell areadamages in a row or too much layers of area damage without enough recovery and a big meteor on top will not be so nice in the high levels 98-100 of this build.



Also +1 skills skin of the Loyal will be great – around 25% more damage for our agony. For all content and bosses we will not need it acutely. But in some multiple Modder T18 full delirium-maps we will love the damage to hug the mobs strong.

Skin of the Loyals are working with all gems and so you don't need corrupted ones on it.



Another Variance is a skin of the lords with "imbalanced guard" as keynote. You get double substain, 2200 es on block, of only 55000 armour. You get 52% evasion, with blindings 76%, but the ordinary 80% physical damage is reduced to 50% pdr as a downside to the doubled substaining es/ on block. Perhaps switch out granite flasks. This keynote works also until lvl 98 very fine and guard you hard, safe and tankful.

The keynote "Wind Dancer" increases the benefits of Evasion and of the "entropy" of evasion. Like Phase Acrobatics" and "Imbalanced Guard"-keynotes your evasion raises, you get less ailments of hits and the capacities of molten shield and frost shield are doubling high, but your substain of es on block and phsical damage reduction of 120000 armour against big hits decreases.


And last don't forget:
Without ironreflexes take a granite flask +3000 armour instead +3000 evasion jade flask. When you want, enduring composure on a cluster for endurance charges is one of the best notables for high-tier-content and without iron reflexes.


Advice:

When you want to go beyond lvl 97 or 98 I would recommend the defensive variation and:

1) Skin of the Lords Iron Reflexes, best balanced colours: 3 green, 2 red, 1 blue
2) different socketcolours Skin of the Lords, Iron Reflexes (2 green sockets for HoA and Pierce remains best or instead one blue for piercing-spells of phantasms-support, see spoiler the dirty scorpion tail)
3) Skin of the Lords, phase acrobatics, best balanced colours: 3 green, 2 red, 1 blue
4) different socketcolours Skin of the Lords, Phase Acrobatics (2 green sockets for HoA and Pierce remains or instead one blue for piercing-spells of phantasms-support, see spoiler the dirty scorpion tail)
5) Skin of the Loyals, 2x +1 Level of socketed gems (offensive variant, often expensive)
6) Skin of the Lords, Imbalanced guard
7) Skin of the Loyals, 50% reduced damage of critical strikes (perhaps change your major pantheon with this bodyarmour)
8) Skin of the Lords, Wind dancer
9) Skin of the Lords, Glancing Blows or Zealoth's Oath (1 passive point more free to change)
10) normal skin of loyals or other cheap skin of Lords (difficult to play above Level 97)


Until Lvl 95 or 96 a skin of the loyal without additions works good enough and without problems.



Grace and vaal grace with aul's uprising remains on all armours first choice for tankyness even without iron reflexes.

You really want 240000 armour and more?

Fit in your flasks-setup another Jade +3000 Evasion or Granite +3000 armour flask with with the suffix 100% increased armour and evasion. Take some #% increased armour notes on clusterjewels and passive tree: like stacking 2x or 3x "stalwaart commander", "dragon hunter" or the armour passives in the templar starting area. You will lift off to 240000 armour and more and will get 4800+ ES on block. But you will loose a lot of other defences plus damage because of missing the regular flasks and passives for this build. You will not benefit much from these high AR-numbers, they don't offer much more pdr and your ES on block is with smaller numbers perfect for all content.







Circle of Nostalgia, Manamanagement

Circle of Nostalgia is very important for your mana. You also need somewhere added chaos damage for a chance to poison on hit with your ball-lightnings to raise the scorpion with virulences and get this also with this ring.

This ring will manage your mana reservation (see all 9 steps 1) to 9) in the spoiler "manamanagement" and "additional mana-reductions") for the herald. You need a minimum of 1) 20% base reduced manareservation on the ring to get 24% manareductions after 2) upgrading it with 20 fertile catalysts with increased mana-quality.


The best corruptions on the ring are stats like "Curse with # lvl vulnerability on hit" (and / or "chance to avoid elemental ailments" for the second ring in the Offensive Edition 55).



A Hungry loop- ring with minion life, fortify and meat shield offers an almost unkillable, for 10% damagereduction taunting, very effective shielding zombieclub.

You can switch in spectres instead of Zombies if you like to.

One slot to assimilate is free to choose on the ring. You can choose your preferences. Withering touch for wither debuffs are possibility, added cold damage for chillings, knockback or blind (o even stun support) are interesting. Feeding frenzy is great for damage, but you have to resummon your zombies, or spectres, much more often.

Before you feed this hungry accessoire, take a unset ring or another circle of nostalgia, and level the supportgems on your second weapon slot x.





Gloves: (Anomalous) Ball Lightning - (Anamalous) Poison Support - (Anomalous / awakened) Spell Echo – Greater Multiple Projectiles

Here you can also fit in one curse on hit like enfeeble or vulnerability.

Cyclone and Melee:


When you prefer to combat meleestyle and want to move whirling while attacking, change to:

Cyclone - Cast while Chanelling - (Anamalous) poison support on gloves - fortify support - (Anamalous) Ball-lightning



For this melee-setup change your gloves to rare gloves with integrated poison support or faster attacks (and high ES). Please take a look at the spoilers "pure agony" and "make hatred, not grace" for more attackspeed and virulences in single-target-situations while using cyclone.
If you want, you can push out "frost shield" of the cws setup in helmet. While you are using cyclone supported with fortify you have enough damagereduction.



Helmet: (Divergent) Cast when stunned (lvl 20) - Summon Vaal skeletons – Sniper's Mark (Bossing) - Raise Zombies / (Spirit offering for more damage)

More layers of defense and a lot of damage. Sniper's Mark also helps to fill up the charges of writhing jar in long boss fights like sirus.
You can vary with skills like Summon skeletons on stun or a (stone) golem or a missing curse sniper's mark for example.
Void-Sphere, inserted instead of frost wall, adds virulences (30 up to 50 for example in the maveninvitation"the hidden ones"), some funny sceneries and interrupts some skills of your enemies.

Best helmet-enchants are 1) herald of agony fires additional projectiles – it's like a LMP-support and for mapping and clean screens b.-i.-s. or 2) Spirit offering grants another 12% more physical damage as added chaos damage, best for all minions and singletarget-situations. Fine are also less manareservations on Herald of Agony, Determination, Discipline and Molten shell: increased duration.





This "memory vault" helmet interacts with your increased global defences, your body armour, the armourkeynote "iron reflexes", your ascendancy and your shield to win managuardian's top-defences. When you have only 34 not reserved mana-points for ball-lightning, you will get total around: 140000 armour, 90% pdr, (5500 mana, 29 not reserved), 2800 ES / on each block and spellblock.


Boots: Molten Shell (eventually Lvl. 19) - Increased Duration - (Anamalous) Vaal Discipline – Vaal Grace - Socketed gems are supported by #lvl Increased duration

Vaal Discipline is our immortal-mode because of our high ES-Recovery and Vaal Grace is the back-up when all other skills are on cooldown.


Tank them all

You like discret facetanking and Seattle in the Center of action?
You get tripple panicbuttons to tank almost all bosses.

After Vaal Discipline -so much energy-shield-recharge uninterrupted- and Vaal Grace- 35 % spell – you get a maximalmolten shell which capacityis doubled and trippled by your blindings and dodges and you are shielded by a swarm of aunting Zombies and skeletons too.

With a soul-ripper-flask you can use your two vaalskills almost nonstop one after another. Support your guardians – molten shell, vaal discipline, vaal grace, vaal skeletons – with a increased-duration support or increased duration integrated in rare boots. So you will get with the passives from your tree: 6 seconds molten shell, 5 seconds vaal discipline, 10 seconds vaal grace - so minimum one cooldown is ready to start again when the other skills ended. In most fights you can spam all your defensive skills synchron and you only need these layers of defense in front of bosses, not while mapping.

Gemlevels, alternates and - qualities


To reduce mana for active skills limit ball lightning, desecrate and clarity to Lvl 1, quality 20.

Eventually you are missing some strength attributes. Then you have to limit molten shell to lvl 18 or 19, quality 20. You'll loose only around 150 armour, but the more important 75% damagereduction of full 10000 shield remains.


Maximal gemlevel 21 is very useful on: Herald of Agony
Maximal gemlevel Empower lvl 4

1 empower-support lvl is around 20% for HoA, a big increase multiplier. HoA lvl 21 is around 10%.

Alternate Skillgem Qualities


When you max out your build, these alternate gemqualities offer some increasements:


Anomalous ball-lightning and anomalous spellecho offer more cast speed, they are perfect for virulences Single target.
Anamalous poison support offers 20% more chance to poison for the substain of virulences
Divergent cast when stunned: Increased chance to trigger
Divergent Frostblink - best cooldown reductions
Divergent Clarity - a bit damage
Anamalous Vaal Discipline - a bit damage
Anamalous Vaal Grace - a bit ailments avoidance
Divergent Determination - a bit evasion, with iron reflexes a bit armour



Anomalous summon skeletons with maim support and feeding frenzy buffs the best. Perhaps you get also "skeletal atrophy" on a cluster for some more fast wither debuffs.


Other alternate qualities possibilities:

- For very high density content like delve or blight an "Anamalous Pierce Support" for HoA is a fine option with a bit less damage but improved 6 × pierced targets. Divergent Pierce Support with pierced projectiles deal 40% increased Damage is here also a very nice possibility but not for singletarget.

Upgrades with catalysts

You should upgrade your circle of nostalgia with 20 x fertile catalysts, your belt for overcapped elemental resistances against debuffs with resistance catalysts and aul's uprising amulett with attribute catalysts for perhaps needed dex and str.




Corruptions and Curses on Gloves, Ring and Shield


Search for a Corrupted Shield with the Corruption/ Implicit „Grants Level 23 Determination“.
Additional spellblock is on the shield as corruption also very worthfull. With this you can take dexterity and increased duration-support on rare boots.


You can trigger your curse sniper's mark with CwS or Cwdt-Trigger-gems.



Belt, Boots and belt-jewel
Free stats and suffixes


Energyshield and mana are best and they are multiplied high with the ascendancy and passives of the tree. Of course take
first missing elemental resistances to cap 75% and missing attributes (dex and strength).
You need around +50 dex on rare boots, rare gloves, on belt or on rare socketed ring. Take a look into the spoiler "Pantheon, bandits, Attributes Requirements" for tipps. You should count in endgame around 7000-8500 energyshield, depending on your playstyle, and around 5500 mana.

Stats like minion chance to blind, corrupted blood cannot be inflicted on you are on belt jewel best or also a bit 2% spellblock-procc on beltjewel when you get it not on a cluster.

This is a legendary number of minions to trigger a lot of skills: Withering touch-support on the dagger synergize with the herald of agony. Minions have #% chance to blind on hit and&or Minions knockback enemies of "bodyguard". Blind is the most easy way to get 50% evasion. This evasion works even with iron reflexes. Only 50% of hits reaches us. 100% of damage are evaded from evaded hits. These evaded hits doubles on top the capacities of 10000 damage taken of molten shell and 4000 damage taken of frost shield to total reductions of practical 28000 against hits in the peaks.

When you want other skills and slots, vary them!

You can also get blind with the Grace mod of watcher's eye and the possibility on a cluster jewel "shifting shadow", "disorienting display" or "evil eye" or on a stibnite flask (against melee attacks only with"smoke cloud on use" or "smoke mine" as movement teleport-skill) or as integrated support on rare gloves.



When you want the mobs around you in slow-motion, there is a possibility on the belt jewel for minions to hinder with spells for the sweet phantastic beasts which stacks with chills and maim support and also with temporal chains.

You can also clean up fine your social Distanzen with a lionsroar flask for knockbacks to get 60% dr of frostshield or with "burden projection" on clusters.

This ring will manage your mana reservation (see all 9 steps 1) to 9) in this spoiler) for you, the auras and your herald.

You need a minimum of 1) 20% base reduced manareservation on the ring to get 24% manareductions after 2) upgrading it with 20 fertile catalysts with increased mana-quality on one ring.
If you wear 2x Circles of Nostalgia in the Offensive 55 Edition, your second ring remains at 18% rmr (or depending on gear, lvl and int: 19% rmr).




3) You need 30 % reduceded mana reserved for determination with a cluster with "uncompromising". In the Defensive Level 100 Edition of the build choose it on a medium cluster together with stalwaart-commander, in the Offensive Edition 55 on a small cluster.

You need 2x points on the passive tree with reduced mana reserved:
4) Sovereignity: 4+4+6, 5) Influence 4+6 % rmr



6) You have to limit ball-lightning, desecrate, clarity skill-gems to Lvl 1, Quality is best 20%.



7) When you don't use 2x Circle of Nostalgia in the Definitive Defensive Edition you anoint your amulet with "Charisma" for 8% reduced manareservation with the blight oils opalescent, golden, golden.


(When you choose to wear 2x Circles, choose free your anoint like "unnatural calm")



8) Only perhaps you need while levelling 1x 1% reduced mana reserved on one of your jewels because you are missing some mana on pasives. Here you can get up to 4x1% less mana reserved when you want more mana for singletarget supports of HoA against endgamebosses too (1 x corrupted blood cannot be inflicted on you is needed on one of the jewels too.)

9) Don't forget your ascendancy Radiant Faith and your helmet memory vault! The less unreserved manapoints you have, the more ES, AR and ES/ block you get.

You need only 34 (29 + 10 % passive insightfullness) unreserved mana points total for ball-lightning lvl 1 remaining. When you have more because of different HoA-supports, raise the lvl of clarity until you have only 34-50 mana not reserved. Or try the cluster jewel stubborn student (15% increased maximum Mana, 20% increased Armour, +1 Armour per 10 Unreserved Maximum Mana).

Other reserved-manareductions for different gears, auras, socket-colours, single-target-gem-swaps and skills

When you want to have more reduced-mana-reservations, perhaps because you need more mana for

your Herald support-gems,
for single-target-supports of the crawler for sirus or shaper,
for different socket-colours for another skin of the lords/ loyals,
for the possibility of a banner or another aura like vitality,
for leaguestart ,
for levelling
or something else,

here are some suggestions:




1) Use only 4 supportgems for the scorpion (or supports with 0% manamultipler like knockback, blind, stun, etc.).

Try HoA support gems with less manamultipliers, take a look into the spoiler "the dirty scorpion tail"

2) Perhaps try on an added small (or a medium- cluster) more 30% reduced mana reservations for the auras determination with the cluster "uncompromising", or for aura discipline cluster "self-control" or for grace, when not free on amulett cluster, "sublime form": There are notes for each aura 30% reduced mana and you can stack all notables on cluster jewels multiple times.

3) Change one jewel (instead fortress convenant for example) in your passive tree to the crimson jewel: Conqueror's Efficency for 2% less manareservation.




4) Try to fit in an Enlighten-support-gem on the auras until you get more mana and rmr.



5) Try to fit in more 1% reduced Mana reserved-corruptions on jewels and belt-eye-jewel.



6) Gear up 2x the ring circle of nostalgia.

7) Take 4-6 points for the way to "Discord Artisan" in the upper witcharea of the passivetree.

8) Perhaps you are lucky and get a helmet enchant with reduced mana for one of your auras or herald or reduced mana reservation of socketed gems.
But the added projectiles for HoA are the better choice.

9) When only around 5-20 mana points are misssing to use ball-lightning, try ballightning with faster casting instead spellecho and perhaps without greater multiple support.



10) Or take one passivepoint +20/ 10% mana mana next to "mystic bulwark"

There are a lot of different ways. Grace and determination combined with iron reflex is worth some points or a bit less damage... There is a possibility in PoB to calculate the reserved mana on gear, passives and skills.



Skillmanager

The Magic Manaminionmasssummoner use all sockets of their gear and more implicits corruptions for determination and for curses on hit. When you are not fullgeared and still missing some hard to find or craft endgame gear, you will need free sockets for all your skills.

Here are all fast changeable possibilities listed and ranked (which are also stated in the different spoilers) to manage your skills and sockets for determination, sniper's mark or other skills when you need a free skillslot. Take one or two for your prefered setup and depending on your gear, prefered movementskill, clusters and build-edition from all this 12 ways:


1) push out increased duration when you switched it in

2) use ball-lightnings to raise spiders, push out ice nova

3) use a unset ring or a hungry loop ring

4) get determination on implicit corruption on shield, push out determination skill gem

5) get poison support integrated in rare gloves, push out poison skill gem

6) get faster casting integrated in rare gloves (and also slower projectiles for 60 virulences), push out spell-echo gem

7) push out greater multiple projectiles support

8) get increased duration on rare boots, push out skill gem

9) push out clarity gem when you don't have the modification on a Watcher's Eye

10) Use will shaper, openess, stalwaart commander or other energyshield-notables on clusters, use watcher's eye with other mods and push out clarity gem

11) Push out Zombies

12) Put out skeletons




Flasks

Bottled Faith is the headhunter for tanks. I don't mean the 10% more damage. That ist great. I mean the killing physical degenerations-damages our 120000 armour don't work against. Here we need Energyshield- Regeneration. Take a sulphur flask. Take the optimal Bottled Faith, you will not miss the consecrated ground because it has this big and beautifull increased area. BiS.

Before getting a Bottled faith use a normal sulphur flask with only small desecrated ground for es-regeneration.



Soul Ripper offers the possibility to use a lot more often the vaal skills beside dodge and phasing. With this expensive endgame-gear you get vaal discipline with a regeneration of 3400ES/sec on almost each mob and double times in the boss arena. Vaal Grace with 35% all dodge is the backup and lasts long 10 seconds for another immortal mod. 50 charges is optimal, so you can combine soul and flask rechargerate for optimal use of 2 vaal skills. (Don't !! take "consumes 49 charges on use" or less: they are not enough to fill the 50 souls of one vaal skill. Take only "consumes 50" charges and more for Soul Ripper Flasks. Best is "consumes 50-80 charges on use" for mapping.)

Instead of Soul ripper a lot of alternatives are listed below.



1 flasks of writhing jar are reserved to raise 20 spiders. Take a look at the spoiler "blizzard" to let them dance.



We need one flask with stop- and antibleeding! A +3000 Evasion jadeflask is best to raise armour and es/block when you have iron reflexes. When not, take +3000 Armour graniteflask instead. Suffix "gain 1 charge when you are hit" is best when you have iron reflexes. When not take the suffix less charges used or increased charges gained.

When you don't use "Hibernator" on a cluster or a lot of anti-ailments-stats on belt, boots, ring, passives etc., you should probably, not mandatory, take here an anti-freeze-suffix against chainfreezing for Sirus, Shaper or Hydra and Crusader, Conquerors Veritania, The Redeemer with their freezing-skills.

When you don't use "fasting" on clusters, or for levelling or if you want more speed flask-depending, a quicksilver-flask is very effective with more movementspeed.



On maps with the No-Mana-Recovery-Mod you have to take in an enduring-mana bottle (instead of the granite flask for example) and must map slow. I personally prefer to reroll this mapmod. All other mapmods are fitting fine for the Arachnophobiatics.

Alternative flasks for knockback & chance to flee, missing spellblock, Anti-Chain-Freeze, blind:

Lion's Roar is fine to get the mobs out of your frostshield and to get full 60% damagereduction of your cleaned up shield.

Rumi's concoction is recommended when you are missing too much spellblock on jewels and gear.

Anti-freeze-flasks are good for encounters with Shaper, Hydra, Sirus, Conqueror Veritania when you don't use a cluster with Hibernator.

The Wise Oak is a possibilty against elemental damage when you have cold- and lightning damage as the same lower than fire damage.

When you are missing a second curse take perhaps the witchbrew (also for blindings).

When you don't use iron reflexes, use perhaps a basalt flask for more pdr.

When you nowhere have chance to blind on minions, clusters, gear, watcher's eye, take in a stibnite flask with smoke clouds to double your molten shell and your frostshield capacities.



Jewels and Clusters

The Blue Nightmare

You get max spell- block combined with the keynote glancing blows.
Insert it in the first jewelslot in the templar-area.

An alternative is to fit in the unique Granite flask Rumi's Concoction. You get a free jewel slot. But you lose, when your flasks are down, block and substain in boss fights without mobs. And our relationship with flaskslots is complicated.

This will get you around 1000 ES and a lot of armour and mana.
Insert it in the central witcharea.


The Golden Rule

This doubles the poison stacks for your Herald of Agony-Virulences. With this jewel you will be able to have 40 - 55 virulences also single-target on bosses. For more than 55 single-target-virulences you need more sources of castspeed like in rare gloves integrated faster casting and/ or slower projectiles.

Herald of Agony adds 20% chance to poison, combined with Poison Support it is 80% poison chance with anamalous poison support 100%, with Golden Rule it is doubled and enough to keep maximum virulence stacks for the Herald even singletarget. Mobs are never the problem for enough stacks.

This is also a place for corruptions like "corrupted blood" and "less mana reserved". Often it is cheaper on the golden rule and on the belt-jewel-slot as on other jewels.

More explanations about the virulences and the golden rule:

The more virulences you have, the faster the virulences unstack. Base is 40 virulences of the Herald and for each pure agony (only on medium clusters located) 5 more virulences are added.

Only with void clusters or more clusterslots on the passivetree you can get 70 or more and you need a lot more of castspeed for singletarget. The golden rule doubles the poison stacks, so the virulences unstack slower and you can substain 60 virulences even singletarget. Map- and bossmods like temporal chains or poison resistances of mobs also are factors.

This is also a place for corruptions like "corrupted blood" and "less mana reserved". Often it is cheaper on the golden rule and on the belt-jewel-slot as on other jewels.
More explanations about the vir

To get virulences, you need chance to poison (added chaos damage on ring circle of nostalgia and poison support), cast speed (spell echo and gmp) and very often hitting skills like ball-lightning. Other skills hit much less, ball-lightning is like an slow and piercing area-effect-projectile. Then "poison you inflict is reflected to you" of the golden rule doubles for the counting for HoA the poison stacks (counts in the reflected poison/ virulences stacks and as a CI you are immune to them) and as a result the virulences raises to 50 and more with enough cast speed.

Without you will get not 50 virulences in singletarget situations and only while mapping with a lot of poisoned mobs. Singletarget the golden rule increases numbers of the stacks of virulences, substain them and increases HoA damage very much.

I would guess you need, thumbed in my experiences, the following increased cast speed to substain the stacks continious singletarget with ball-lightning:

Cycloning or with other skills than ball-lightning you need more attackspeed.

Bleeding we ourself do not inflict, only the minions procc bleedings. And we are not immune to bleeding. We don't procc it and don't get the increased armour. We would need physical damage, chance to bleed (vulnerability would be enough) and something against too much reflected taken bleeding damage (besides the antibleeding flask) to get the increased armour.







Split Personality

2 of them in your 2 last medium-cluster-jewel sockets with Mana and Intellgence are best in slot and almost as strong as Will Shapers and increases your Armour too. For one you will get around +400 up to + 500 ES. You get 4 more not-used- passive points compared to the alternative small clusters!


The Watcher's Eye

One of the best items in the game to farm is the Watcher's Eye. There are combinations to explore and you can also explore some of the most peak-high prices in trading in Path of Exile. For the best ones you need more than one Kalandras mirrors to buy. So don't worry when you only get 1 and not get the 2 or 3 of the optimal mods.

The most worthfull mods for this build are:

1) Clarity: Gain 10% of maximal mana as extra maximum Energy shield
This will result in around 1100 added ES and is best in slot because even with our 90 % physical damage reduction we need ES against oneshots (...or fiveshots in 0.1 seconds without blockable attacks). Without this mod remove the clarity-jewel! We have enough mana-reg without and you get a free socket. Get instead a bit ES on clusters like "will shaper" until you get this.

2) Discipline: ES gained on hit
This is also one of the most expensive mods. It will raise the substain when there is no blockable damage. I neve tried it. Very expensive ordinary.

3) Grace: chance to blind attacker when you get hit
For this 1 mob of 100 which approaches from behind or offscreen shooting mobs or when the spiders are in holidays and your flasks all empty.
(Very expensive sometimes! When you have iron reflexes. When you have much evasion this moves down to number 5. "Shifting Shadow" (10% chance to Blind Enemies on Hit) or "evtil eye" on a cluster or chance to blind integrated on rare gloves let this mod move down to number 9.)

4) Discipline additional spell block:
with this you can change your boots to rare boots (with socketed gems are supported by #lvl increased duration for example for one more skill or one more circle of nostalgia), to Wiendshriek boots for one more curse or 3 free points instead of whispers of doom, or to 2 free passive points in templar starting area

5) Discipline: energy shield regeneration
Against degens, when your sulphur bottled faith is down and time of need on cooldown, ES-regeneration is best. Or when you choose hc. (very expensive ordinary, take only with good roll!)

6) Grace: movement speed
When you like it speedy very fine. When you are feeling fast enough it frees the slot fasting on the worthful medium-cluster-jewels. (very expensive ordinary!)

7) Determination: additional physical damage reduction: only when you don't use iron reflexes! Try to get iron reflexes on body armour. When you have iron reflexes it moves down to 8)

8) Determination: added armour: not so much armour for us and we have a lot already. But more es/ block.

9) Grace: more dodge: a bit more ehp





Pure Agony

+5 to Maximum Virulence
Minions deal 20% increased Damage while you are affected by a Herald

This is our Leader for damage! Each cluster counts around 19 % more damage for the agony-crawler. You need fast balls to get them up! Use spell-echo and gmp for castspeed. When you are still not out of currency, take awakened spell-echo (15% increased cast speed on top of spell-echo) When you are missing a bit mana, switch to faster casting instead. To apply your curses full and- wide-screen, take greater-multiple-projectiles also. You need poison support and the juwel „The golden Rule“ in your passive tree. Without you will get the full stacks and damage only mapping and not single-target.

Advice/ Alternative: When you find a pure agony on a megalamonic-unique-medium cluster with 2 good-fitting skills take it and push out the fortress covenant jewel! The lost cult-leader-notable is about 3% damage.

Please scroll down to the spoiler"Important Clusters and their ideal combinations" for interesting offensive and defensive combinations of medium clusters. But the rare medium clusters with jewel slots are already almost perfect for our build.



Large Clusters

You want it everytime with 8 passives and 2 jewel slots.

Best for more miniondamage are:

1) Renewal 2) Raze and Pillage (mapping-damage) 3) Call to the slaughter 4) Rotten Claws (single-target-damage)




In the Offensive Edition 55 one large cluster with: "Conjured wall" (for spellblock without rainbow stride boots) and "Thaumophage" (Hinder) or "Sap Psyche" (ES regeneration)

When you have spellblock on a medium cluster or shield-corruption or watcher's eye, you can take in a second large minion-damage cluster for half a million more shaper-damage:



Defensive Variation, for example when you decided for Harcore:

This defensive, not recommended alternative/ variation offers with "scintilatting idea" 20% mana and also blind for hardcore or defences.






When you are missing spell block or block because you are playing ssf or don't have the blue nightmare jewel, you should get spellblock with "Rumi's Concoction" flask and notables on one large cluster. "Conjured wall" and "burden projection" offers spell block and knockback.





Belt jewel

Best stats on the belt-jewel (and also for some free suffixes on the rare ring, belt or alternative rare gloves) are:

Stats like minion chance to blind, corrupted blood cannot be inflicted on you or 1% less mana reserved are on belt jewel good when you have these not on passivetree-jewels.
Energyshield and mana are best and they are multiplied high with ascendancy and passives of tree.
Of course take first missing elementalresistances to cap them 76%/ 80%, missing attributes (dex, str) or a bit last 2% spellblock procc on beltjewel (when you get it not on a cluster).



Fortress Covenant

This is an alternative as long as you have an unused jewel slot free. It gives some damage and you can change this jewel to a resistance or defensive jewel or also to 2 free passive points in when you want or need to. It offers our minions around 4 % more damage.

Elegant Hubris

The timeless jewel, inserted next to mind over matter, offers the transformed passive skill "slum lord" with 80% increased miniondamage (for our build around 8% total damage). When you are very, very lucky to get a very, very rare one with "Commissioned 128880 coins to commemorate Caspiro" it will transform 2x passives to slum lords. 160% miniondamage for 30 int and 2 points and one jewelsocket is a charming damagefull trade! No problem without - it is so rare and hard to find.

Switch it in & switch fortress-convenant and rotten claws (singletarget) or raze and pillage (mapping-damage) out. Eventually get one more jewel socket on another rare medium cluster for all jewels.

- Shifting Shadow (10% chance to Blind Enemies on Hit) is very tanky when your flasks are drunken empty to the last drop and offers armour too. "Evil eye" blinds with cursings. With these added blinds you have a modslot freed on the watcher's eye for other mods.

- Or you can get the last missing 1.5% spell block over 72% and ES-regeneration with a cluster like "mystical ward".

- When you have the luck to find the combination of uniques megajewels with uncompromising and pure agony this is for medium clusters best in slot and frees the rare cluster uncompromising/ stalwaartcommander for another pure agony combination.

- BIS: Large clusters best-in-slot are very expensive in trade. When you are still not out of currency, try to get some mirrors of kalandra and buy & switch in 1x or 2x Large voices clusters: Adds #1 small passive skill which grants nothing.
You get op. You increase your damage and defenses and reach the capacity for 6 medium cluster jewels with 5-6 x Pure Agony and up to 70 well stacking virulences.




Fasting

20% increased Flask Charges gained
20% increased Movement Speed while under no Flask Effects

With this on your free-to-choose skills of the free medium-cluster you speed up to 95% movement speed with your movementspeed on the rainbowstride-boots and withering step on the left mouse button triggered automatical when you move. You are like always drinking a quicksilver-flask. Nonstop happyhour of course.

The increased Flask Charges gained - with the aul's uprising amulet we have a fine 40% increased rate = makes our build very, very happy, too. While mapping we will have all flasks ready and full – Cheers! In the boss-areas we can take two times our vaal-skills with the soul-ripper-flask. Instead the Soul of the Brine King in your Pantheon is a fine solution against freezing abilities of Shaper, Sirus or Hydra and some other bosses or use a anti-freeze-suffix on a flask for them.

1) Soul of Solaris: 20% chance to take 50% less Area Damage from Hits, Take no Extra Damage from Critical Strikes if you have taken a Critical Strike Recently, 50% chance to avoid Ailments from Critical Strikes

The crit- and aoe-avoidances are very strong and there are almost no enemies which can chainfreeze us without Soul of the Brine King. We have 80% coldresistance and blocking is also working when we are stunned or freezed.
If you have 1 passive left, put it into reduced freeze and chill-resistance next to Anointed Flesh. But the best combination is "Hibernator" on a cluster jewel together with Major Pantheon Soul of Solaris.

2) Alternative: Major God: Soul of the Brine King: You cannot be Stunned if you've been Stunned or Blocked a Stunning Hit in the past 2 seconds, You cannot be Frozen if you've been Frozen Recently, 50% reduced Effect of Chill on you

Minor God:


1) Soul of Abberath (for ignite-reduction and burning-ground-immunity)

2) For Ascendancy-Labyrinths:
Perhaps Soul of Ralakesh, when you are unused to the traps and don't use movement-skills (for more anti-bleeeding - but we have also one anti-bleeding flask and enough pdr for the traps without this pantheon)

3) For long boss fights without added mobs to auto-fill-up the writhing jars (Ueber-Elder, Sirus, Maven) change to: Soul of Ryslatha or use sniper's mark instead.

You have to upgrade the pantheons with divine vessels to get all benefits.


Attributes Requirements:

Intelligence 155 (Discipline, Spirit Offering etc. Lvl 20)
Dexterity 159 (Herald of Agony Lvl 21)
Strength 155 (Molten Shell Lvl 20: you can reduce it without problems to lvl 18 or 19)

Requirements, Attributes on gear

Spoiler
You need high dex, around +40, on rare boots, rare gloves, belt or rare socketed ring. You should increase the rare ring and Aul Uprising Amulet dexterity with catalysts for attributes. Perhaps you get some missing attributes added on the clusters too. Until you get them on gear you can take +30 dex passives on the passive tree or on one jewel "split personality" +es/mana/int + dex.

Don't worry - with some missing dexterity- or strength-gems levels or one aura less this build works on T16 fine too. You need only 159 Dex for maximal Herald Level 21 until you get higher attributes.

Molten shell has full 75% damagereduction and full 10000 shell without full level and without full strength.



Mana: take a look in the spoiler --> "manamanagement", "additional mana-reductions" for you manamanagement. Don't forget your ascendancy Radiant Faith and your helmet memory vault! The less unreserved manapoints and the increased reserved manapoints you have, the more ES, AR and ES/ block you get. You need only 33-34 unreserved mana points for ball-lightning lvl 1 and all supports remaining. When you have more, raise the gemlvl of clarity over lvl 1 until you have only 34-50 mana not reserved. Full levelled and geared you should count around 5000-6000 reserved Mana.

Energyshield: Full geared in lategame you want to get around 7000-8500 depending on your goals and playstyle.



Beginning, levelling, gearing and Leaguestart

Are there some levelling tricks for the acts and which alternatives with less currency for gear are good?

Levelling and starting:

Herald of Agony is levelling a bit slow but a very relaxing and safe minion build.

Flame wall, smite, summon raging spirits, Zombies with meat shield or fortify, summon vaal skeletons (for bosses), spectres, ball- lightning (higher skillgemlevel), Magma orb, Dominating blow with faster attacks-support and life on hit and fortify or volatile dead are good attack-skills in early levels.

Some prefer Storm Brand for the faster levelling.

When you want to start early with Herald of Agony, don't forget lesser poison support for added chaos damage with poison support or another possibility to poison on your attackskill like dominating blow or ball-lightning to raise the scorpion.

On the defensive site you can choose skills like grace, enduring cry, fortify supporting shield charge, life on hit/ life-leech/ energy-shield-leech, cast when damage taken with defensive- and guardianskills, void sphere, until you get in higher levels.

Take a lot of movementsupports: Quicksilver flask, flamedash, frostblink, phaserun etc.

As long as you are missing skillslots or don't have a Determination-Corruption or other granted skills on gear, push out increased duration and put in a skillgem Determination. The Armour is most important for ES on block and ES and pdr.
Push out out clarity while you don't have a watcher's eye with clarity-mod. Put a curse like enfeeble or vulnerability instead of frostwall on your cws-setup when you want until you get the curses on ring and glove in lategame.

When you are missing some dexterity or strength attributes, take a +30 dex/ str passive on the way and regret it later.

Take some life-passive-points and minion damage-passives on the way in the passivetree when you want and regret them when you get the cluster-jewels (like Discipline and Training, Spiritual Aid, later Aligned Spirit when you are still missing some of the large or medium cluster jewels). Don't forget elemental resistances and upgrade your flasks and ascendancy in the labs levelling.

Take in the ascendancies trials labyrinth as your minor Pantheon Soul of Ralakesh for bleeding-immunity, when you are unused to the traps or don't use movement-skills.

Until entering lategame maps you don't need all jewel-slots of the passivetree and Anointed Flesh and avoidances of elemental ailments are not so important in the early maps.

Clusters: Start first with a medium cluster (or instead as improvisation a small cluster) with the notable "Uncompromising" to get your mana, defences and also offensives with all auras and 6 linked HoA up. Then after let the damageclusters follow.

Be careful or wait with "the golden rule"-jewel until you transform to chaos-immunity, you reflect the poison to yourself.

Insert the jewel "Healthy mind" not before you transformed to Chaos Inoculation.

Around lvl 70-75 or when you start dying sometimes of chaosdamage, head to the last keynote Chaos Inoculation/ to transform into Chaos Immunity/ CI of this build.

The build starts getting fast and charming when you get the dagger arakaali's fang. The weapon with a writhing jar-flask should be one of your first upgrades. Take a look into the spoiler "blizzard" to let the spiders dance.

Leaguestart:

"Circle of Nostalgia" ring and "Charisma" anoint with golden oils are expensive gear in the first days of leaguestart for this build.

As long as you are missing them, take 6 passivepoints for the way to "Discord Artisan" or take 2x "uncompromising" on clusters or don't activate discipline and use only vaal discipline. Take somewhere added chaos damage or lesser poison support to raise the scorpion.
A lot other variants and workarounds for mana are guided in the spoilers "manamanager" and "additional mana-reductions", like less HoA-supports or "self control" and just following below in this spoiler for alternative gear.

The build works until red t15 with all shown varied rare starting gear, jewels and flasks.
It's no problem to reach high maps and endgame without aul's uprising, skin of the lords or loyals, flasks or dagger because your Herald stitches with low effort enough damage.
For all items, jewels, clusters, stats and flasks you find alternatives in the build for each slot.

So Harry Potter & The Magic Mana Minion Mass Summoner Mix is a well balanced leaguestart-build in high defences of the templar guardianskills and in offensives with one of the strongest minion skills working also in starting gear impactfull and tanky.

Starting gear and gear alternatives:

Some Gear can be expensive (see spoiler "contra") like in other builds, but there are alternatives and you want best in slot only around Level 95. Very often gear becomes cheaper after some days after league-start.

Lower budget, but almost as strong and optimized gear for Levels 80-98 for example is:







For different bodyarmours/ skin of the loyals/ skin of the lords: see spoiler "gear, skills, links"---> spoiler "Skin of the Lords"
For different colours of socket: see spoilers "the dirty scorpion tail"

Changes gear:
Skin of the Loyals / different Skin of the Lords, belt with 2 jewels, poison or faster casting on gloves for one free skillgem-slot, flasks

Added Fire Damage support instead empower lvl 4, aligned spirit or grave pact for miniondamage in passive tree instead on large or medium clusters, no/ wrong helmetenchant ...


So it is until Lvl 95 a very effective build without high optimized gear on a small chaosbudget:

- Use a normal skin of the loyals as long you are missing the corrupted gems. Perhaps you get one with whitesockets low budget. Or use other cheap skin of the lords or Tabula Rasa.
Lioneye's Vision, Incandescent Heart, also The Queen's Hunger, Vis Mortis and The Coming Calamity are good starters.
Take a look for alternatives in the spoiler --> "the dirty scorpion-tail" or "Harry Potter Senior" for varying socket-colours.

- 4 or 5 correct supports are ordinary around 95% damage and more than enough.

- When you want iron reflexes without skin of the lords the sword "Grelwood Shank" with stationary iron reflexes offers the big armour and substain until you get it on the armour

- Use normal sulphur, granite, jade, quartz or stibnite flasks instead of bottled faith and soul ripper

- Use a unique flask "Rumi's Concoction " + block, + spellblock, + armour instead the jewel "Blue nightmare" for max spellblock

- Use perhaps Conjured Wall or mystical ward on a cluster for more spellblock.

- Use unique gloves with high ES and poison support or faster casting support. You get one free socket. Or use Vixen's Entrapement - you get ES and 2 curses.

- Use unique boots with movementspeed, high ES, resistances and Mana instead Rainbow stride boots or rare boots with "supports socketed gems with #lvl increased duration"

- Use astramentis amulet or, before CI, The Anvil instead of aul's uprising amulet or a rare amulet with attributes, ES, mana, resistances.

- Using added fire support support instead empower support is easy possible.

- Use aligned spirit, grave pact or spiritual aid on tree for miniondamage until you get the clusters with more damage.

- Helmet and Shield are mandatory for the mana-guardian's high defences. Without them take more armour on flasks and more ES-regeneration on shield-alternatives and flasks.

- Some hard to craft rare shields or "Whakatutuki o Matua" with ES on block work fine but have much less ES-regeneration.

- The ring Circle of Nostalgia is with less mana reservation alone (without added HoA damage) very cheap often and for starting fine.
But you can also easy work-around the ring: see spoiler "mana-management". You also need somewhere added chaos damage for your ball-lightnings and get this also with this ring, or instead on a belt jewel or lesser poison support for example.

Determination and Grace will take you together with Iron Reflexes and flasks up to 140000 armour.

Not 14000. Yes 140000.

This means you get 2800 Energyshield on all your blockings with the Aegis Aurora-Shield and block is never limited. It's like drinking every second some life flasks. This perfectly synergize with our guardian-ascendancy plus our 100% increased global defences (armour, evasion, energyshield) of the Skin of Lord and 20% increased auras of the cluster-notable stalwaart-commander and a lot of the passive-skill-tree too.

For physical damage reductions 140000 AR works, thumbed, well for hit-reductions of 14000 without the known dimishing returns of armour pdr on big hits.

Explanation high vs medium Armour

The minotaur or shaper slam for a big physical damage hit is a very fine example for differences of effective high 120000 or medium 70000 armour (https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Armour) Take a look in the ar-calculations on mitigiated amounts of damage and rules of thumb: The allstars take with almost double armour minimum 40% less damage with only one damage map-mod. When the minotaur crits it is about 50% less total physical damage taken than other HoP guardian builds because of the mechanics and dimishing returns of armour, and in maps with double or tripple damage modifications these differences in less damage taken will raise much higher.

Our ascendancy and gear is fitting ideal for getting this optimal top physical damagereduction and substain with top high energyshield on block.





Another attracting tanky way is Phase Acrobatics as keynote - then your skin of the Lords will add a lot of 30% spelldodge. You get another 52 % evasion without iron reflexes, too. Combined with your and your minion's blindings you reach 76% EV. That is very, very fine tankstyle combined with your dodges and blockings. This raises the capacities of damage taken 10000 dr molten shell and 4000 dr frost shield practical to 35000 / 42000 dr in damagepeaks and reduces some microstuns and -chills. But your armour and your ES on block will move down to 55000AR/1100 ES-on-block. No problem, but the 1: 100000000 risk of getting 5, 6 big critical spell areadamages in a row or too much layers of area damage without enough recovery and a big meteor on top will not be so nice in the high levels 98-100 of this build.



Also +1 skills skin of the Loyal will be great – around 25% more damage for our agony. For all content and bosses we will not need it acutely. But in some multiple Modder T18 full delirium-maps we will love the damage to hug the mobs strong.

Skin of the Loyals are working with all gems and so you don't need corrupted ones on it.



Another Variance is a skin of the lords with "imbalanced guard" as keynote. It is very often very cheap in trade.

You get double substain, 2200 es on block, of only 55000 armour. You get 52% evasion, with blindings 76%, but the ordinary 80% physical damage is reduced to 50% pdr as a downside to the doubled substaining es/ on block. Perhaps switch out granite flasks. This keynote works also until lvl 98 very fine and guard you hard, safe and tankful.

The keynote "Wind Dancer" increases the benefits of Evasion and of the "entropy" of evasion. Like Phase Acrobatics" and "Imbalanced Guard"-keynotes your evasion raises, you get less ailments of hits and the capacities of molten shield and frost shield are doubling high, but your substain of es on block and phsical damage reduction of 120000 armour against big hits decreases. It is good for starting also and cheap to obtain with low budget.


And last don't forget:
Without ironreflexes take a granite flask +3000 armour instead +3000 evasion jade flask. When you want, enduring composure on a cluster for endurance charges is one of the best notables for high-tier-content and without iron reflexes.


Advice:

When you want to go beyond lvl 97 or 98 I would recommend the defensive variation and:

1) Skin of the Lords Iron Reflexes, best balanced colours: 3 green, 2 red, 1 blue
2) different socketcolours Skin of the Lords, Iron Reflexes (2 green sockets for HoA and Pierce remains best or instead one blue for piercing-spells of phantasms-support, see spoiler the dirty scorpion tail)
3) Skin of the Lords, phase acrobatics, best balanced colours: 3 green, 2 red, 1 blue
4) different socketcolours Skin of the Lords, Phase Acrobatics (2 green sockets for HoA and Pierce remains or instead one blue for piercing-spells of phantasms-support, see spoiler the dirty scorpion tail)
5) Skin of the Loyals, 2x +1 Level of socketed gems (offensive variant, often expensive)
6) Skin of the Lords, Imbalanced guard
7) Skin of the Loyals, 50% reduced damage of critical strikes (perhaps change your major pantheon with this bodyarmour)
8) Skin of the Lords, Wind dancer
9) Skin of the Lords, Glancing Blows or Zealoth's Oath (1 passive point more free to change)
10) normal skin of loyals or other cheap skin of Lords (difficult to play above Level 97)


Until Lvl 95 or 96 a skin of the loyal without additions works good enough and without problems.



Grace and vaal grace with aul's uprising remains on all armours first choice for tankyness even without iron reflexes.





All Elements

Our armour and block don't work on heavy, critical dot's and elemental ailments.

So first we reduce Ignite to 30 % with the Pantheon Minor God Soul of Abberath (50 % reduced Ignite duration) and passive Tree around Anointed Flesh we switch in all elemental immunities and avoidances we want and choose.

Other ailments

We have one passive free for shock-reduction and have two flasks free to choose. We can get a very nice belt-enchantment for even more ailment-avoidance while we are elusive. We have other free slots for ailment-reductions on the belt-jewel. We get 50% less stuns from CI and energyshield. We have cast-on-stun shield and wall. But we are not immune and we have only 3 open bottle slots. We need bleed-immunity on one flask. We need the "corrupted blood cannot be inflicted on you" on one of the jewels. We get 80 % curse immunity of our time-of-need-ascendancy. That is enough and I never got problems again after getting all defensive layers. I don't play hardcore. But when you get these ailments controlled with a bit more ES-regeneration on the boots for example and more ES instead of damage (see FAQ), I think you will be hardcore-ready.

For other Degens and Dot a Bottled faith or sulphur flask with es-regeneration is most important. Together with time of need each 3 sec and vaal discipline and overcapped resistances we are well prepared. For anti-chain freeze against shaper, ueber-elder, hydra and crusader, conquerors Veritania, The Redeemer etc. don't forget "Hibernator" on clusters, or alternative "freeze- and chill-reductions" next to "Annointed Flesh" and perhaps on belt jewel. There is a very nice QoL belt-enchantment "20% avoidance of ailments while you are elusive" possible to get in the Ueber- Godess-Labyrinth. When you still get too often chain-freezed by these bosses, change your Pantheon to "Soul of the Brine King".

Long Bossfights without added minions - Sirus, Shaper, Singletarget




You can change the melee-splash-gem in your dagger to (awakened) melee-damage-support or another singletarget supportgem. With this gemswitch your spiders deal almost double damage to shaper or sirus.





"Sniper's mark" automatic refilles the writhing jar flaskcharges.

You don't get much vaal souls in boss arenas of UE or Maven, you can switch the soulripper flask to a resistance or jade / granite / quarz / stibnite flask more if you want to.

Only when you don't use the curse sniper's mark, change your Minor Pantheon to Soul of Ryslatha. So your worms are always ready after some seconds, your writhing jar flasks will auto-fill-up with hitting sniper's marked target or instead the changed Ryslatha-Pantheon.

For most endgame bosses you have enough damage without changing gems. But Shaper and A8 Sirus are much easier with the preparations for the spiders.


Bossing

Physical Aoe and physical-degens/ dot's are the only remaining a bit weak spots of this build.
We have bottled faith, vaal discipline, a bit es-regeneration, time of need, Solaris pantheon and anti-bleeding flask against this damagetyp, but no resistances. In most situations they are no danger and we have enough substain and 4 layers of defense. For farming hard-endgame-bosses you have to vary a bit against aoe-damage when you want. I did Sirus, synthesis-bosses, mastermind, Aul, ueber-elder etc. deathless without switching gear and only with the standard-setup. Full deliriumbosses, Legiongenerals etc. also.

For making bosses easier switch out cluster bodyguards and flask Soul ripper for example, for hard bosses without vaal souls when they are your target.

For aoe-situations switch in prismatic carapace/ dance cluster or switch in a flask with anti-ailments-suffixes
For phys-dots-situations switch in enduring composure-cluster for enduring charges, switch in basalt-flask pdr instead Soul ripper.


On a lot of points this build is managable to specialize on special situations with flasks, clusters, gloves, Ring, belt, boots, amulet, auras, cwdt/ cws, pantheon, movement-skill etc.
The Allstars have so much damage that it is easy to switch some points, clusters etc. from offensive to defenses/ ES.
This build plays both melee and ranged. And all our minions are immortal. This is optimal to go on bosshunting.

Dangerous Bosses in Endgame

Only one unique boss of the vaal-side areas killed me two times. His name is something like stormbringer or stormdrinker and he uses a very fast leap slam attack. (I think, while he is jumping and slaming the minions and lightning balls cannot target him. I suggest there were also some interesting vaal-map-mods like ... unique boss... 98 % additional lightningdamage ...980% faster attacks... 98% additional physical damage ... and only a very small unvulnerability shrine next to him... Run when you see him, hihi.) Ueber-Vaal-Queen Atziri is difficult too and you cannot tank her and must know her attacks. Tzteosh, Hungering Flame, a beyond-Boss, is sometimes depending on the mods, not easy too. For the bosses with physical-degenerations-beams or aoe-beams (like plaza, orchard, mineral-pools, terrace, garden, high-garden) you have to use hidings like pillars and movement and let your minions do the job. Don't try to facetank them too. Some other bosses are impossible to tank to, like in the rotten core-map or some attacks of the shaper and maven, you have to move around. But you have a much longer time to react to their most damaging attacks.

In the Halls of the grandmasters one of the very last grandmasters in the last section has high regenerations. He is immortal for our normal setup and you have to debuff him more (doublecurse him for example with vulnerability and snipers mark, debuff perhaps on top with frostbomb and oneshot him with all minions and virulences up with high damage).

A lot of endgame-bosses like Uber-Elder or Sirus are checked for facetanking on A7. A8 you have to walk around their aoe- grounds. Don't forget anti-freeze reductions and corrupted blood-immunity.

Maven instead is easy for our setup and for managuardians. Only a very few special combinations of bosses listed above with degens can get dangerous. Here you find some bad combinations in her multiple high-lvl invitations:

For me 5 mill damage was always more than enough and I did not need more. When you get the second medium damage cluster you rush through the maps topspeed. Only full delirium T19 could be remarkable faster, but sqishier also with less defenses. But there are faster builds of course than minions. The defenses of this build offers in endgame more damage-uptime with less moving and less deaths lvl 97-100. In such decisions Poe is often about finding the fitting balance of offensive and defensive for your goals and content (when you don't use an op build like aurastacker). Do you want to farm fast, do you want to kill bosses, do you want lvl 99 and more, which content like blight, delve, etc. do you prefer or do you need an Allrounder build for the Mix without to much gear, flask and passive-swaps... So you can balance your build very, very good in Poe.

My own favourites are the combinations of skills with the fast spiders (...or phantasms or meat shield -Zombies or skeleton mages I liked very much too). I want a swarm of minions. I love to optimize a build and trade for best gear in slot, I like to level very high 99-100, to optimize the build more with 2 last passives, I hate the grinding. And the visuals of spells and mapdesigns are important for me to love playing a game. And I love to write a build too, to find a unique build like here managuardian+ auras + iron reflexes for best top defenses, hehehe.

On the opposite I don't like speedfarming, grinding to much, bossing only sometimes, Alva and temple is boring for me but good exp., crafting is not so interesting for me, hardcore I am afraid of, I prefer facetanking instead movement, .... lol etc.)

You can balance from more defense to more offense with switching medium clusters, auras, curses, etc. Take a look into the spoiler "Index of offensives" or "make hatred, not grace" or "11 mill. damage".
If you want another different playstyle, you can change your belt to the curious, funny and high damage offering headhunter too of course. Get only some elemental resistances instead on belt on clusters, passives, gloves for example and try some new experiences in next level lags and you will go full lags.

Level 100

The Magic Manaminionmasssummonermix is ready, skilled and geared, for experience farming the way to lvl 100 on all path of exile content.

For lvl 98-100 and for hardcore without deaths choose the definitive defensive tank edition.
You will be able to die never, or almost never.

When you are not a very experienced player, combat the hardest encounters like the feared 10 or the hidden ones invitations maven fights, ueber-atziris multiple aoe's or crazy deep delve on your level- ups, they remain dangerous and rippy. One too slow reactiontime or one, last after-fight not known explosion of the ueber-elder outside Zana's shield and you can still die and you do not want to die in Lvl 98-100. But all other content you can do deathless and in fast playstyle every time. You don't depend on carrying-services or breachstones like other builds.

I personally for myself prefer instant skill molten shell manually casted in bosencounters like Sirus. While mapping I push it on movementbutton autotriggered: left 1 mouse button or on cws/ cwdt.

For example I personally use sometimes:

Q ball-lightning (spam it)

W vaal discipline (our most important vaal defensive skill, immortal mod, against not blockable damagetypes like degens, dot, aoe, with soulripper-flask you can spam it. Also first panicbutton)

E Vaal Skeletons as meat shield on bosses

R vaal grace (our back-up vaal skill when all other skills are on cooldown, a second almost immortal mod for unblockable attacks and damage types)

T Raise Zombies - if one died in too much aoe


Sniper's mark is on cws linked too and triggers automatical.

Spirit offering is not ideal on cws, but for me personally better then manually casted. You can manually cast when you want to after desecrating. But on Cws it is better against corpse-explosions when you don't see all corpses in the lightshow.


Divergent frostblink quality has reduced cooldowns on bosses!

When you need blindings for doubling the capacities of molten shell and frostshield: try the skill smoke mine if you like it for teleport movement.

Flamedash, phaserun etc. are a bit better for more speed without other buffs.

HoA and all auras: discipline (for es), determination (for ar and es/block), grace (for ev or ar and es/ block with iron reflexes), clarity (for watcher's eye mod only): on 2. alternative keys with Ctrl key. You need to activate them only one time.


BUT: Take the keys you like! Everyone likes another key-binding! For different people different keys work best!

Choose and order your keys individual.

Vaal molten shell, vaal ice nova and vaal clarity I don't take. Less damagereduction than molten shell and I want more vaal souls for vaal discipline and grace.

Curses are best triggered on hit or triggered cast when stunned/ cast when damage taken cws/ cwdt.

I don't have enough energy shield / I die very often / checklist:


1. Check your elemental resistances. They have to be capped and have to be all 75%.

- Do you have antibleeding on one flask?
- Do you have sulphur and armour on flasks? Use all your flasks often!
- Is the quality of all your flasks 20%?
- Do you have ascendancy in labyrinths done and maxed the Pantheon with divine vessels in the maps?
- Do you use Molten Shell, Vaal Discipline and Vaal Grace? Use them often!
- Do you have activated the aura "Determination"?
When you are still missing the "/implicit/" grant # lvl 23 skill determination - implicit corruption on your shield, you have to put a skillgem in your setup! 14 ways to free up a skill socket for determination are shown in the spoiler "Socket- and Skills-Management".
You get a lot ar, pdr and es/ block with determination.
- Don't forget your ascendancy Radiant Faith and your helmet memory vault! The less unreserved manapoints you have, the more ES, AR and ES/ block you get. You need only 34 unreserved mana points for ball-lightning lvl 1 and all supports remaining. When you have more (because of 2 rings circle of nostalgia or different HoA-supports or less auras, raise the lvl of ball-lightning or clarity until you have only 30-50 mana not rserved.
And you have enough mana-reg to use all skills.
You can increase the gem-levels when you have too much not reserved mana.
- Do you have ignite reductions and avoidance in the minor Pantheon and passivetree?
- Do you have max 75% block and 72% spell block?
- Do you have all the important jewels in the passive tree?
- Do you have "corrupted blood cannot be inflicted on you" on one of your jewels? (Around lvl 80, 85)


2. Use more slots of energy shield and mana on your gear and jewels. They multiply a lot with your ascendancy and passives.

3. The last unique jewels with intelligence and mana, 'split personality', grants a lot energy shield (2 x 400).

4. Change some medium clusters/ passives to defensive ones. Clusters with enduring composure when you dont have iron reflexes is very good. Will shaper, openess, stalwart commander are very good. On the passive tree points with mana, es and intelligence are fine.

5. Enfeeble curse is for mapping very tanky but not for shaper or maven, they have high curse-resistance.

6. While your defensive skill gems like determination, discipline, cast when stunned, molten shell, frost shield are levelling up, you will get a lot more defense with raising levels of course. When you have too much too weak lvl 1 gems socketed on your gear it is dangerous and you have to level them a bit before returning in high content.

7. You need total minimum around 7000 energyshield for almost all content. Estimated and thumbed. In my experiences. Try to get more to get more reaction time in damage-peaks! 7500 is much better! A bit additional energy-shield is needed because of the mechanics of frostshield. But with this and all the defensive layers and 90 % pdr you will never be oneshotted and when there are blockable hits, you will get healed fast and nonstop.

8. - Do you use Bottled Faith and Soul Ripper? Use all flasks often!

9. Do you often die of ailments? Please take a look on the spoilers: "fire", "other ailments", clusters: "Hibernator" and "Pantheon".

From evasion and armour starting as first layers of defences, then the synergies and interactions with keynotes, manapool and guardianascendancy, ending with the last wall energyshield against oneshots and maven.

Optimal for boss hunting, T16-18 maps and ritual and all content.


1) 50% evasion against blinded debuffed enemies. Only 50% of hits reaches us. 100% of damage are evaded from evaded hits.

We get minion 3-6% chance minions to blind on hit on the jewel in belt. Example 21 minions x 6% : 126% chance to blind singletarget (for 4 sec).
We can also get blind with the Grace mod of watcher's eye and the possibility on a cluster jewel "shifting shadow" or "evil eye" or on a stibnite flask (melee only "smoke cloud on use" or "smoke mine" as movement teleport-skill)

2) 140000 armour
90% physical damage reduction against hits, overcapped and max.

(Big hits with more than 14000 damage remains dangerous because of mechanics and dimishing returns of armour, but are not content of the game. Biggest hits like shaper slam and sirus beam have 4000-6000 physical damage only and are mitigated easy with 140000 armour and heal us instead.)

How does it works?
Here are the multiplications:

One of our most strong defences, because it protects us with very high energyshield regeneration from damagetypes we cannot block.
In combination with soul ripper flask and our 40% increased flask charges gained of aul uprising amulett and fasting, we can use it all 10-15 seconds or faster while mapping, almost each mob, and 2 times on the bosses. It is almost a immortal mod for our substain build. Best for cooldowns of bleeding flask, for aoe, for physical degen, and also in damagepeaks.

12) sulphur flask or bottled faith flask offers around 420 Es/ sec more staying on consecrated ground and time of need each 3 sec: 3000 es regeneration/ 1 sec are our walls against remaining damage of degens, dot, physical degens, aoe and other special damage types too.

13)soul ripper phasing reduce taunt range of enemies and let you move unblocked. 95% added movementspeed of "fasting" on cluster, boots and withering step (or instead frostblink/ flamedash/ shield charge with fortify support, or other prefered individual movementskills) takes us very, very fast out of damagefull areas of effect and dangerous situations.

15) pantheon Soul of solaris: crit immunity after 1 critical damage.
The 1 : 100000 chance to get in the middle of a damagepeak 5 critical hits in a row, multiplied by hard mapmods on shocked ground while bleeding etc. is covered with this pantheon. We get only 1x crit. Also it helps against aoe, ailments and elemental damage.

16) evtl. Enfeeble curse or another defensive curse on hit on gloves or cast when stun triggered: 15% less damage of enfeebled enemies, evtl. Phase Acrobatics, evtl. Reduced crit, ... eventually endurance charges of cluster jewel notable enduring composure. 17) our last layer of defences: 8000 energy shield (up to 10000 possible with max gear)

Against all damage types. With the jewels healthy mind, split personality, watcher's eye clarity modifier, reserved mana converts to energyshield ascendancy radiant faith (keep only 29 manapoints unreservedfor ball-lightning), 100% increased global defences (es) Skin of the Lords, increasement discipline aura (6x passive points and cluster "stalwart commander"), attribute intelligence, intelligence of level-ups, increased energyshield, mana, intelligence in passive tree and gear.

The damage reductions of molten shell and of frostshield against all damage types raises your basic 8000 energy shield practical 70% + 20% ( / + 40% additional dr against ranged attacks) 90% to 14400 ES total against damagepeaks.

This is our last defence, after all 16 other walls of defences before, against one shots with not blockable damage, degenerating damage and area of effect damage.

Maven beams and orbs, Shaper beams, degens, dot, bleeding, aoe- effects: we get a longer reaction time against these last remaining dangerous effects with more energyshield.

Level 100

You are now ready, skilled and geared, for experience farming your way to lvl 100 on all path of exile content. You will be able to die never, or almost never.

With 2800 Es on block, vaal discipline 3600 es/ sec and time of need 3000 es/sec each 3 sec it heals peaktop speed and have probably most high substain of all classes and ascendancies.

Your physical-ehp arrived now in 7 digits with 1.4 mill., your ehp-peen against all other damagetypes shines around 600 000 full buffed in damagepeaks, unbuffed around 400 000 physical, 200 000 against all damagetypes:

On the to attacking tending side of the arachnophobiac superspiderscorpionuncle we start with the big buffs of our Generation arachnophil ascendancy Guardian:

Onslaught buff attracts our lust for destructions with much attackspeed for all the party and is supported elegant by intimidated debuffed enemies for convictioning damage and then a nice unnerve debuff enters with more damage one more time again.

After this start we want to get more synergies and interactions again. 6 legs, 8 legs, it does not matter, all 166 legs of 21 minions will be called to join the Allstar-Team.

Both our minions transfer 50% of their physical damage to chaos damage. So both fractions are fine synchron scaling with physical and chaos buffs:

So this will get an easy choice: Spirit Offering fits perfect for 30% more damage for both, Vulnerability debuffs mobs heavy for much more physical damage and only smaller bleedings, which are buffed with 3× damage with knockbacking support of the cluster-notable bodyguards or Burden Projection.

15 Withers of Withering Touch Support plus our own withers of Withering Step buffs the miniondamage with a million damage further and debuffs all enemies defences in wet papers. Withers are a debuff (and not a curse) for witnessed 90% damage and we get 15 stacks charming fast with 160 long legs with the speedy doublebuffed by call to the slaughter spiders. (Mmhmm, some with are still missing in this chapter ;-) )

We get enough damage that for almost all content the spiders get melee splash for clearing and cleaning up the screen glittering in full order.

Long necks & short legs

But the spiders are only around 38.68098 % of our total damage. We do not want forget the only 6 legged one, always the slowest one, the itchy, the bitchy, the stitchy one: the one scorpion.

This beast scales heavy, damagefull and best with 2 components:

1) Stacks of virulences (40-70 possible)
2) a high level of skillgem Herald of Agony and of empower support

The (older) defensive variation of this build focus first on a balanced defensive layout with 50 virulences and a combined shaper-damage of 4.8 mill with a lot of quality of life clusters for movement speed and tankiness.

50 virulences, 8000 ES, Spiders 1.3 mill melee splash / 2.0 mill shaper-damage, Herald of Agony 2.8 mill. damage, 4.8 mill damage combined:

The 2 large miniondamage-clusters charge our party with with:

1 x "Renewal": minions have 6% chance to deal double damage

1 x "raze and pillage": Ignites the darkness and put the night on fire. When you want to see the dungeon burning.

1 x "Call to the slaughter": movement speed increases damage uptime of HoA and spiders plus adds attackspeed (very efficient for phantasms support which are raised new very often)

Eventually, see different setups and pob-s, 1 x "Rotten claws", impales for minions: HoA's strong impales are very fast triggered in singletarget situations by the 20 spiders with 1.5 ats: 5 impales ordinary triggered in 0.15 - 0.3 seconds. When you need 2 free passives you can go without Rotten Claws.


Then our Leader for damage enters final in 2 - 3 medium clusters: "pure agony"

We get combined with "cult leader" on the medium clusters 3x 19% more damage for our shortleg damagecenter. We can raise with pure agonys 5 more virulences maximal 40 virulences to 55 virulences and we have enough castspeed to substain them even singletarget with onslaught ascendancy buff, cast speed of passives, (anamalous) spell-echo, poison support and greater-multiple-projectiles-support.

I would advice and thumb overall:

40 virulences T15-T16, red maps
45 virulences T15-T16, red maps
50 virulences 5 mill. Damage, T16-18, red maps
55 virulences 6 mill. Damage, T16-18, red maps

For optimal cluster jewels combinations, please take a look at the spoiler "pure agony" in "jewels and clusters".

While mapping and doing high density-content like deliriums, delves, blights, rituals etc. add in the multiplications of 4 projectiles of the scorpion (with helmet enchant: 6 projectiles) plus 4x piercing the targets with pierce support.
This results in: up to 74 mill. mapping-damage.

When you don't want to go the tanky road, when you want more damage or you are not interested in Levels above 96, 97 (or do easier breachstones to reach lvl 97-100) or want to go full damage on level -ups for delirium-maps etc. you scale most balanced and effective your damage with 55 and more, up to 70, stacks of virulences and more castspeed with varied gloves for singletargets for the shortlegged:

Frannyx04 optimized and maxed another Set-up with different megamegamania clusters in the Ritual Leage, and changed curses and gloves as following to get up to 7.1 mill shaper-damage with well balanced defences like energyshield, armour, es/ block, but also a bit loosing quality of life (missing movementspeed of fasting for fast mapping, missing bodyguards knockbacks for less hits taken and 60% damagereduction of frostshield, one skill slot like frostwalls or increased duration less and without antichainfreeze of Hibernator):

55 virulences, 8000 ES, Spiders 1.2 mill melee splash / 1.6 mill shaper-damage, Herald of Agony 5.5 mill. damage, 7.1 mill damage combined (mapping-damage around 120 mill.):

Sometimes you want to go and take the highway to damage and kick the mobs hard and fast.







(To raise your damage and loose only a little bit of defences and quality of life a well balanced set-up with 7 mill. shaperdamage/ 120 mill. mapping-damage and 55 or 60 virulences is explained in the spoiler "Index of offensives" and in the Offensive Editions 55 and 60, page 25.)


You will fall to: 55000 armour and only 80% pdr instead of 90% pdr (perhaps add the notable enduring composure with it's enduring charges on a small cluster jewel to balance out this loss), but with hatred (most easy to place on a different aul's uprising amulet), perhaps added generosity, 3 points for the way to Elemental Equilirium debuff, and with more virulences for your agony from one or two more pure-agony-clusters you can raise your shaper-dps very easy to 11 millions and even more (I saw an exile with 21 millions dps with 3 void-clusters, with them getting to the maximum of even 70 virulence-stacks in delirium-maps for the herald of agony.)

Without Grace ironreflexes don't offer much. Change your Skin of the Lords' keynote to Phase Acrobatics or choose for another big more 25% damage-multiplier a 2× +1 socket gem-lvls different Skin of the Loyals.

A good variation with cold hatred-aura is also a Skin of the Lords featuring "Imbalanced Guard" as keynote for better substain or the keynote "Elemental Equilirium" for 3 free passive points and a lot of damage with debuffs. "Hypothermia support" offers in combination with hatred and cold chills a new powerfull support for the HoA skill.



Also on gloves you can get a bit less, but very easy damage with the "Grip of the Council" in change for some defences.

And when you switch in faster casting and/ or slower projectiles for gmp you can substain 60 virulences in singletarget-situations.

+3 gem levels for the crawler is excellent damage. Take more minions in for your ascendancy buffs with the cold ironpoint dagger.

Anomalous summon skeletons with maim support and feeding frenzy buffs the best instead of the spiders. Perhaps you get also "skeletal atrophy" on a cluster for some wither debuffs (instead the lost withering touch of the spiders) or link withering touch to your own ball-lightnings for this buff.

I would advice to a +2 increased spell/ minions gemlevels triggerwand to raise the skeletons autocasted or switch in summon phantasms support into the HoA supports.



If you want another different playstyle and more lags, there is a curious variation for oneshotting the mobs and bosses with headhunter.

Hehe, yes, it's a long build. I optimized it for raising an impressing swarm of 82 (-100) minions and worked a lot with the set-up of the twin build "The Agonycy Arachnophobia Allstars".

It uses a maxed long row of defensive layers to get 500k ehp up to 600 k ehp supported on top with a lot of taunting & shielding minions. So a lot of chapters are about defences. Take only the gear and first spoilers if you want, all following chapters are explanations and about variations optional.


It uses a lot of the synergies of arakaali's fang spiders, withering and debuffing to build up millions of damage more of herald of agony collaborating in all supports with another division and company of phantasms.
