Thx for the reply :) Using a very simple calculation. Say you do 100 lightning damage in a hit against a boss that has 90% lightning resistance. You do 10 damage. You then add 10% lightning pen. You now do 20 damage. That's a 100% increase. It's fantastic, you've doubled your damage! Now imagine you already have 80% lightning pen. You're doing 90 damage a hit. You add 10% lightning pen. Now you're doing 100 damage per hit. That's about an 11% increase. Well, that's not so good. Off topic a bit, but about the only stat in the game I can think of that gets better the more of it you have is your own personal resistances. Basically because of that same calculation.
