(Instance) Servers Crashing

I wanted to provide one record where the game didn't crash, but that didn't work out. So here are three records where the game crashed in everyone:

I'm on Texas gateway, and even tried switching to the D.C. gateway and I've reinstalled the game and I still get unplayable "failed to connect to instance" and "unexpected disconnect" errors constantly since the patch.

Do you need any more information to help me? Is there any advise on how I could improve the situation? Game is still crashing very often.

Hey there,
I looked at your WinMTR, and I'm showing that you are having some very high ping on your third-fourth hop. That's usually on the way towards our servers. I would start by trying to power cycle your router for 60 seconds. From there, if that doesn't work, can you try using a VPN and run a WinMTR with that? This will help us compare routes and cross reference! | |

Just so that there isn't any misunderstanding; at first my problem was that the instance servers where disconnecting me very often, with the instance portals being destroyed after reconnecting to the server. That occurred mostly in high density situations (e.g. legions) or shortly after transitioning to or from a sub-zone. After about two days (up until now) I do no longer get disconnected from the game, but instead my client crashes. This happens in the same situations as the disconnects before with a similar frequency. That being said, I can't see how the very low priority of the third hop to answer ICMP requests could cause this. Especially since there is basically zero packet loss or delayed packets to the actual game server. PS. Resetting my router was something I tried several days ago. |

I'm having very similar issues. I've reset my router (and modem) a few times, tried forwarding ports, tried several different realms, restored my pc, and have the same issue on 2 different pc's.
My ping shows 3 ms. on the Texas gateway, but every 3-4 instance changes I'm disconnected. pls get this fixed, I'm able to play other games just fine. |

Same here, I'm a Frontier customer as well. Very similar WinMTR reports as others have provided here so far

**Bump for more visibility** . This looks like a large cluster of users and there are numerous WinMTR's now made available to GGG in posts on the top of this thread
