I agree with this, but I was really just hoping this would be a short term problem that I wouldn't have to deal with in the long run. It was also more of a test to see if that would actually fix it (which it did). Wouldn't make sense to install lasso if it didn't end up fixing my problem.

Long term answer is yes, try Lasso.
Short term answer is no, try SMT in BIOS and see if it fixes it. No reason to get Lasso if the fix doesn't work

Yup, no other game I've played the last few years have even come close to requiring me to do this amount of work for the game to function. Not sure if it's GGG's old code from back at when they first made PoE is somehow holding back the entire system from being optimal. Could be the reason they are making a PoE 2, to scrap the old framwork and start over.

I for one would at least like a reply from GGG on the matter. Even a "Sorry guys, we aren't sure what is going on" would be better than silence for me. I feel neglected as a paying customer.

Any updates on this one from GGG side?

I'm constantly crushing lately as well. It's really frustrating right now as I cannot fix the issue.

For me, the game crashes without a bug message as well but there is a dmp txt file which is located in the PoE directory. It seems that this is some sort of an error message.

What I tried besides the standard things (playing with graphic settings, updated all drivers, reinstalled the game, constantly monitored my hardware performance, ...) was to switch the renderer to Vulkan (Beta). If I try to do so, the game freezes instantly. I cannot hit the "SAVE" button when I change it.

I'm really looking forward for a quick fix on that one.

Oh, don't worry. After a day of being able to play, I went straight back to crashing.

I've been idling in an outdoors area for about 20 minutes now and haven't crashed, so maybe the new patch fixed stuff? I don't know - I'll play later and see.

I hope this all gets resolved soon!

Anyone else can't play the game after the latest patch? Game works fine on town but if I go to my hideout I just get stuck on a loading screen.

Same here vulcan crash game to windows desktop every 10min or soo directx crash/freezes my pc like at league start great patch ggg........
