Trinity support isn't as narrow as you think...

Second gem - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3009537

People are saying you need to play Wild Strike or Ele Hit with Trinity support.

Actually, you can play ANY melee skill with Trinity support, so long as you use either Voidforge (2H) or the new Heist experimented sword base type (1H) -

https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Voidforge

https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Anarchic_Spiritblade

You can also play Discharge btw, so long as you actually cycle all 3 charges.

Edit: Also works with Doomfletch's Prism, for bow builds! :D

Edit 2: Divergent Trinity has the quality bonus "Supported Skills convert (0–10)% of Physical Damage to a random Element". This allows skills like Wave of Conviction to also support themselves with Resonance i.e. maintain max resonance without having to use another skill. Cos sometimes the fire portion will predominate, other times lightning, which will net you all 3 elemental resonances.

ANY melee skill

+ Discharge. There's only 4 melee skills in the game now?...

Actually, scratch that. Should be ANY sword skill. You can go Spectral Throw or whatever other pseudo-'melee' as well, if you want.
It also works with Doomfletch's Prism. It's not like elemental equilibrium; the damage rolls are independent for each element which means statistically over a few hits you'll rack up the resonance pretty easily unless you also are converting additional damage.

Unfortunately it doesn't work with the most popular doomfletch build, doomfletch mines. But it's still good.
